BIBLE – BLOC PARTY!

For the first time ever in Israel, a joint Christian-Jewish party will run in the next elections for the Knesset (the Israeli Parliament) to be held on November 19th 2019.

The new Judaeo-Christian political entity will be called The Bible-Bloc Party and has been approved by the Party Registrar’s Office.

According to Israeli media reports, the party will seek the support of non-Jewish Russian immigrants from the former Soviet Union, many of whom are Christians, and from Christian Arabs.

Dennis Avi Lipkin

The party’s founder, Avi Lipkin, who was born in New York, and is married to an Egyptian Jewess is a veteran speaker to evangelical Christians in the US and American media outlets, including Fox News.  He believes that he will also receive support from the thousands of Western immigrants whom he expects will move to Israel in the near future.

Lipkin made Aliyah over 50 years ago from New York and lives in Israel. He served in the I.D.F. as a spokesman for seventeen years. A prolific author, he has written extensively on the threat Islam poses to Western culture and, more specifically, Christianity.

Lipkin earned his Master’s Degree from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and is considered one of the pioneers in Jewish-Christian relations.

This Bible-Bloc Party is based on the Qur’an’s concept that Jews and Christians are “People of The Book” (3:64 – 71).

I find The Bible a book of wisdom and truth and hope. (Perhaps I could join this new political party.)

  1. It’ll be interesting to see how the wider communities in Israel respond to this Party. I’ve pencilled-in November 19th to follow-up how they fared.

  2. It will be interesting to see how this ‘joint venture’ works out in history. And speaking of history, the following: . A word of advice to the Chimp community, ‘keep your eye on the ball’. I recently came across an article in a leading Sydney paper, Sept. 9., which may concern you somewhat. It was headed; “Will the man become a monkey? Monkeying around for a better life…. Once upon a time, in a villa perched high on a mountain over the Mediterranean sea, lived a surgeon who grafted ape testicles onto rich men in the hope of doubling their life-span. His theories have long been discredited as, well, a load of balls. He went on to say;” Fortunately we have a near relative in the animal world, the chimpanzee. Men who have reached the age when their intellectual and physical faculties begin to decline… may borrow from their young relatives of the virgin forests a new source of vital activity”. The poor disillusioned man went on to say; ” To graft this gland is to participate at first hand in the work of creation”
    ” If only Dr Sergei Voronoff (Google search the name) had discovered the truth of creation he could have saved himself a lot of time and it seems, a lot of Chimps some pain.

    1. Thank you Milton. I shall bring this to the attention of the Chimp community. I am sure you empathise with my concern about evolving into a human, you humans seem to be such a confused lot! Gibber! Gibber! hopefully still in a strong baritone, Chugley, the still (relatively) intact Chimp.
