The events that occurred that night in the Garden of Gethsemane have reverberated down through the centuries. The passion Jesus displayed on that momentous night has been depicted in music, books, and films for centuries. From the 16th century, when Bach wrote two magnificent oratorios based on the gospel accounts of Matthew and John, to the present-day film, The Passion of the Christ, the story of this extraordinary night has been told again and again. As you recall, the Lord Jesus asked the Father twice to remove the cup of wrath He was about to drink. However, each time Jesus submitted Himself to the Father’s will, even though He was “exceedingly sorrowful unto death.” (Luke 22:45)
Beloved, in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus died to Himself! Only a few hours later, on a hill called Golgotha, Jesus died for our sins! Let us not forget that the Lord asks all who will follow Him to die to ourselves, and take up our cross as well. We will explain this further in our next sermon in this series – “Behold the King – From Gethsemane to Golgotha.

There are at least 11 different “disasters” that each one, alone, represents a threat to America economical, national security. Many will take a generation or more to recover from or solve. But before we can solve them, we need to understand the insanity and incompetence of them. America’s safety and survival are at stake, and the current White House team is utterly incapable of managing this many simultaneous challenges.”
