Baby Chimpanzee Co-Pilots His Flight To New Home After Being Saved From Poachers
I am very touched at the care you humans take of Chimps. A baby chimpanzee co-pilots his flight to a primate sanctuary and their amazing journey will warm up your hearts. Yet another example of why I am reluctant to be re-classified as human, so often you treat us better than your own.
A baby chimp, named Mussa, was rescued by Congo pilot Anthony Caere. The little one got bonded with his rescuer during their flight home together after Anthony saved him from poachers in the Congo. Now the two are making their incredible journey in the sky, and Mussa looks completely relaxed! He is thoroughly fascinated by the flight controls and even took a nap on Anthony’s lap.

Virunga National Park has saved him out of the hands of poachers and Mussa will be re-homed at the Lwiro Primates rescue and rehabilitation center. A Lwiro spokesman says “Every rescue is an effort by a lot of people from different organizations who work together to save lives”. The chimp is being treated for intestinal parasites, but the conservationists say he is now “playing and laughing” since his rescue! Landing at his new shelter he clung to his human “mother” having sadly lost his own at the hands of the poachers.
He just might be related to Ham, the first Chimp in space. https://chugley.blog/chimps-in-space-meet-ham/

What a happy chimp he looks in the arms of such a caring man! This picture reminds me why believers who trust in God are generally happy, or at least content with life…regardless of their circumstances. We have a bright future…like little Mussa!
I would be happy to “devolve” into a chimp, if I could get to ride around in a nice airplane. But then again, I may leave that and look forward to my “ride into the skies to meet Jesus”. Oh what a ride that will be.
Spot on Mandrill thinking! Gibber! Gibber!
Hi Chugley, I would not mind “devolving” into a chimp if I could get to ride around in a nice airplane like Mussa. But on second thoughts, I will wait for that flight into the sky to meet Jesus. What a flight that will be!
That ride will make up for so much. I have been reading your Bible and hope I will be human enough to go with you, I may have to wait for the banana express though, it is not crystal clear on that point, at least not to my Monkey mind….then I’m not a Mandrill – Gibber! Gibber!
