APOLOGETICS 2020 STYLE
In my Christian studies I learned that “Apologetics” was the name given to explaining reasons for your faith. Now my monkey mind is terribly confused, the “Primate” of the Church of England, stop! I thought you called me a “primate”, I am certainly not an archbishop. To add to my confusion this “primate” has made a statement as follows:
CHURCH OF ENGLAND APOLOGISES FOR SAYING SEX IS ONLY FOR MARRIED HETEROSEXUALS
This makes a nonsense of what my Biblical studies have taught me. I recall the famous words of Pauline Hansom “please explain”.
Further de-railing my study, yesterday a Roman Catholic Priest in America has been instructed by his Church to apologise to the followers of the prophet.
Minnesota Catholic Priest Apologizes for Saying Islam Is the ‘Greatest Threat in the World’
The world is so crazy these days that if you enunciate unpopular truths, people who are supposed to be moral authorities will pressure you to retract and apologise. A Roman Catholic priest in Ilhan Omar’s Minnesota, the Rev. Nick VanDenBroeke, has been compelled by Catholic authorities to apologise “for saying in a sermon that Islam was ‘the greatest threat in the world’ to the United States and Christianity.” This is rather like making a man apologize for saying that water is wet, but that’s where we are these days.
This monkey is going to stick with the original script from the Bible, it seems a much less crazy thing to do.
Gibber! Gibber!

Dear Chugley. I can understand your confusion. We humans are a funny lot, that is not funny “ha ha” but “strange, inconsistent, blind to truth” funny. Can I encourage you to stick to the truth of the Bible’, and you cannot go wrong.
Dear Milton, thank you for your wise words of encouragement, they make my “evolution” so much more understandable! I shall stick to my KJV Bible. There are some dodgy versions out there! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
When I think of the courage of early Christians who spoke the Truth regardless of the world’s reaction to them…how weak are some contemporary church leaders. They seem more keen to practise political correctness and conform, than use the power of God’s (absolute) Truth to convict and challenge people’s apostasy.
2 Timothy 3:5 explains God’s view of it:-
“They will hold to the outward form of our religion, but reject its real power. Keep away from such people.”
That’s how this monkey views it Paul! Thanks for the encouragement! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
