ABBOTT – OFF HIS BIKE & RUNNING!
Perhaps it was that Tony Abbott had just completed a 140K bike ride that fired him up on ‘Paul Murray Live’ last night, around 9pm. The zoo TV system was running late, because the management showed us the film ‘Paul, Apostle of Christ’, instead of the usual current affair shows. This student monkey found the film most helpful. It greatly strengthened my belief in the truth of The Resurrection of Christ. Who would lay down his life, as Paul did, for a myth, as some would have us believe? I highly recommend this movie. It has a huge ring of authenticity.
In this same sort of convicted and authentic spirit, along came Ross Cameron to encourage a crackling discussion with Paul Murray, Tony Abbott and the feisty Janine Perrett, a known aficionado of Twitter, (someone else also springs to mind in that context). At last Tony Abbott sounded 100% leader – “We must keep Liddell Power Station open, invest in more coal fired power stations and cease subsidising ineffective renewable energy schemes”. Wow! Sounds like monkey sense to me! When I’m classified as “human” he’ll get my vote. Well done Mr Murray for an enlightening and entertaining show.

Dear Chugley,
Good common sense!
But we are dealing with politicians. So, keep the energiser bunny at the ready.
Thanks, will do! Glad the gremlins let you through, Dr Eisenstein is blocked again… Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
Tony Abbott – such common sense, but unfortunately not palatable to his leftie colleagues. Interesting that you mentioned the apostle Paul being willing to die for the truth he considered more precious than life itself, because many of the disciples who had witnessed the resurrected Jesus also never denied what they had seen, and were willing to endure years of persecution, troubles and even death for His cause. That’s pretty convincing to me, although atheists I correspond with conveniently reject the authenticity of this account.
You humans do confound yourselves, it seems. Shooting yourselves in the foot, I believe you call it. An inability to accept the truth appears to be the main stumbling block throughout your troubled history. There have been few Pauls and few Tony Abbotts, Australia certainly needs them now to return itself to greatness. I am tempted to remain coddled in my cage, battling the human condition is, to say the least, overtaxing to my strength. Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
