A POMMY FOLAU WINS THE DAY!
I was happy to read today that Felix Ngole, a Nigerian, has won his case, for wrongful dismissal, in the English Court of appeal against Sheffield University. It took him four years, to fight for his Christian rights, so you would not want to be in a hurry, would you? Yet another reason I am hesitant to fully evolve into a human.
I also consider it most indicative of the patience of God that He would send the famous Missionary, Mary Slessor, to Nigeria and, and the Presbyterian Ministers, Hopkins and McPherson, to Tonga, where they were boiled and eaten for their trouble, as recently as 1910. Then after well over 100 years Ngole and Folau return to “Christian” countries to proclaim the Gospel. They are then persecuted by the very people who originally sent missionaries to their countries. A real monkey puzzle!
The court basically concluded: “The decision, which overturned an earlier High Court ruling in the university’s favour, found that “the University adopted a position from the outset… which was untenable” and that the university “wrongly confused the expression of religious views with the notion of discrimination.” A full report can be found here:
