WHY THERE WILL BE NO “PALESTINIAN STATE”

Thank you to Bud Hancock for another informative and insightful article about the thorny issue of the mythical “Palestinian State”. The ignorance surrounding this issue is without boundaries, no doubt aided and abetted by various PR firms acting for these terrorists. Thank you Bud for your enlightening article.

Why There Will Be No Palestinian State
A Warning to the Nations
Bu Bud Hancock
One of the thorniest questions for many people, especially Christians is: “Why and how does God make certain decisions”? While many might try to answer that thorny question, in order to find any truth in any answer, they MUST concede that, because God IS who He says He is, He has the right to decide things His way, just because He IS God. He is sovereign over all the Earth and therefore He has the right to decide in any and all matters that affect or determine the outcome of issues where His will is involved. In no place was that sovereignty more important than in deciding who would be selected to produce the body of the Messiah, the saviour of the world, in order that His promise made to the serpent in Genesis could be fulfilled. God is eternal, with no beginning and no ending, so He knew what His decision would be before the foundation of the world, but He chose to keep it secret until the timing was right.
The writer of the Book of Genesis states that Abraham was to be God’s choice for the fulfillment of His purpose. Read Genesis through the first eleven chapters to get a sound understanding of the world events that led up to the introduction of Abram, later named Abraham by God. In His timing, God made known to Abram that he should separate himself from his earthy family and journey to a place he would be shown. Abram’s life from that moment on would never be the same.
Rebekkah, the wife of Isaac, and daughter-in-law of Abraham, had been barren for many years before she conceived twins and became the mother of Esau and Jacob. She experienced a pregnancy that was difficult and conflicted. She felt the twins struggle within her womb, so she asked the Lord why this was happening to her. The Lord replied, “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you shall be divided; the one shall be stronger than the other, the older shall serve the younger” (Genesis 25:22-23 ESV). The nature of the struggles between her unborn sons indicated they would have a life of conflict after birth. I doubt anyone could have foreseen just how contentious their lives would become or how long that contention would last; however, God knew and for His own reasons, He chose Jacob, the younger son, to be the line from whom the Messiah would come.
When Esau and Jacob, twin brothers, sons of Isaac and grandsons of Abraham, were born with Esau emerging first from the womb, Jacob, whose name means “heel-grabber”, had the heel of Esau in his hand, indicating in him a character trait that would cause him to gain the family blessing through deceit and treachery. But through this seeming character flaw, God saw in Jacob the properties that no human could see, and he chose Jacob because of the properties that He alone could see.

Normally, the first-born receives the greater blessing from his father to be the main heir to the father’s estate. This is a very big deal in cultures who place much stock in the birthright as did the Semitic tribes from which Abraham came. Based on that fact, Esau would normally have received the blessing that named him the head of the tribe. However, long before the imminent death of Isaac, when the blessing would have been given, Isaac asked his firstborn son, Esau, to go and hunt and kill a deer and provide a meal of the red meat that he referred, and bring it to Isaac so that he could enjoy the meal and then give the blessing to Esau.
Esau, who was an accomplished outdoorsman and hunter did as Isaac commanded and returned from the hunt weak and extremely hungry. Jacob, who was more of an agricultural person, and likely a very good cook, had prepared a meal of lentils, a staple of the diet of that time. Esau, being extremely hungry, asked Jacob to share his meal of red pottage with him. Jacob agreed but only if Esau would sell his birthright to him. Fearing that he would die from being so weak, Esau agreed, and it is recorded here:
“And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. And Jacob said, sell me this day thy birthright. And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright (Genesis 25:30-34)
The birthright was to be valued above all else when considering the passing down of the leadership within a tribe or clan or family. That Esau so lightly valued the birthright placed him in a precarious position with God because the birthright was instituted by God to establish positions of leadership and power in order to continue the flourishing of families and tribes within a culture. After the deception was wrought by Rebekkah and Jacob (Read Genesis chapter 27), Isaac gave the greater blessing to Jacob; there was no taking it back, it was a done deal. Isaac did bless Esau, but it was not same blessing, the blessing of Abraham, received by Jacob.
After the blessing had been given, Isaac, not wanting to see Jacob married to a local Canaanitic woman, told Jacob to go to the land where Abraham had lived before obeying God’s command to go to Canaan, and to choose a wife from among his brethren there.
Jacob spent more than twenty years in that area, having been tricked by Laban into accepting the older sister, Leah, as his wife, then serving his relative, Laban, many additional years for his Rachel, his first choice. both of whom became his wives. He then returned to the land of his father, Isaac and made amends with his brother Esau. You might think that this action would have ended any bad blood between brothers, but, as time passed, Esau’s descendants, who became known as the Edomites, allowed the jealousy and hatred for Jacob and his descendants to fester and erupt.

The writer of the Book of Ezekiel records the feelings God had, and still has, for the descendants of Esau who settled in the land south and west of the Dead Sea. The area just west of there is where Mount Seir sits and was at one time or another the kingdom of Edom. Throughout the history of the two twin brothers, hatred for Israel was always a part of the makeup of the people of Edom.
That hatred, based on jealousy and envy, did not lessen with time and it still exists today, with all those who sprang from the loins of Esau and, to some extent, Ishmael, working feverishly to not only take the land that rightfully belongs to Israel (Jacob), but to utterly destroy every Jew and seize ALL the land for themselves (See Psalm 83). Many wars were fought by the descendants of Edom (Esau) and Jacob (Israel) through the centuries since the twin brothers walked this Earth; one would think that the ancient hatred would have disappeared, but instead, it is now more fervent than ever. Since the Jewish people were brought back to their ancestral homeland, on the exact spot where they dwelt for many centuries, and since that once barren land has blossomed under their ownership, the jealousy now reaches the boiling point nearly every day. Multiple wars have been fought by the “Palestinians” the current day Edomites, and other Arab entities against Israel, trying to finish what Hitler and the Nazis started in the Holocaust during WW2. However, aided by God and with the goal of possessing the ENTIRE land promised to them so long ago, the Jewish people are NOT leaving, and they will never again roll over and surrender to any foreign force that attacks them.
Since God spoke His command to Abram to leave Ur of the Chaldees and go to an unknown destination (Canaan), God’s hand has been on the Jewish people, and even when they disobeyed Him, He would not suffer to see them destroyed. His pronouncement of their return to the Promised Land (Isaiah 11:11-12, Jeremiah 30:3, Amos 9:14-15, and Romans 11:25-26) is God’s stated intention to NOT leave the Jews as wanderers and vagabonds, dispersed abroad in many foreign lands forever, but to restore them to their rightful and eternal inheritance. With that being a promise made by God, Who cannot lie, and with that restoration now being partially completed, the nations of the World are being placed in the position of making certain hard choices:
How should the Jewish people be treated as the current inhabitants, at least partially, of their “Promised Land”?

How should the nations react to ANY attempts, not JUST by the descendants of Edom (Esau) to kill Jews and take their land?
Should the treatment afforded to the Jews and the Land of Israel be considered equal treatment afforded to Almighty God?
At this time, it seems that many nations are answering these questions by their actions. Nearly 150 nations, all members of the evil United Nations, are calling for a separate state for the “Palestinians” to be carved out of the current borders of Israel. They are demanding that Israel accede to their “demands” for such a state to be given to a people who were never a people. Foolishly, these nations fail to see that, even though many offers for such a state were made in the last 40 years, all such offers were rejected by the people who would benefit from that state: the “so-called” Palestinians (Edomites/Ishmaelites). Having rejected all offers, the Palestinians/Edomites/Ishmaelites have clearly stated THEIR demand: the death of ALL Jews and the possession and control over all the land of Israel.
The foolish nations backing the demand of the Edomites/Ishmaelites/ Palestinians for the creation of a state are now in a terrible position; having staked their national reputations on their demand. Backing down and admitting that Israel is the rightful owner of the land of Israel, would cause them lo “lose face”. But to press on with their evil demand places them in a much worse place: face to face with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
For centuries, the World, if they have thought about God at all, appears to have seen Him only as a compassionate, loving, merciful, kind and benevolent God, and to be sure, He is ALL of these. But these same nations have never yet thought of Him, or encountered Him, as THE God that watches over, guides and protects Israel, the “Apple of His Eye”, and what He has promised to do to those who disrespect, curse and persecute the Apple of His Eye, the Jewish people. In that case, He should be seen as an angry, furious God, thoroughly and willingly ready, and able to bring righteous judgment on those who ignore the warnings of Genesis 12:3, you know, that pesky verse wherein God promises Abraham that He will “curse them that curse thee”?

To answer the questions stated earlier in this article,
The nations of the World are commanded to honor and respect the offspring of Abraham; the land on which they live should be universally recognized as belonging, by divine edict, to the Jewish people
As occurred after the discovery of the Holocaust, near the end of WW2, many nations had compassion on the Jewish people and welcomed them into their lands, and in 1948 exalted the rebirth of Israel; that should still be the case today, but the opposite appears to be happening
To think that a nation, ANY nation, or any national leader, can make demands on the Israeli people to give up THEIR land so that an illegal state can be set up for an illegal people, and to expect that God will simply comply to their demands is the height of impudence. All nations and their leaders should be aware of the dangerous consequences of such behavior.
God’s decision to give the Land of Canaan to Abraham and his offspring, Israel, was determined before the foundation of the World. The very borders of that land were set, and God will NOT allow any person or nation to change them. To attempt to do so is a serious and tragic mistake on their part.
Edom, Mount Seir and Israel
As the prophet Ezekiel stated in Ezekiel 35:2-6, “Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it, And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate. I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord. Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end: Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord God, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: since thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee”. (Read the entire 35th chapter of Ezekiel to better understand God’s anger against Mount Seir/Esau/Edom)
There are still several prophesied wars and conflicts between Israel and her enemy-neighbors, in which those enemies will defy God and try to oust the Jews from their land. They will fail, and instead of gaining the land that belongs to Israel, the enemies of the Jewish people will lose the land they have been illegally occupying for many centuries which was never theirs to control. The so-called Palestinians, mostly descendants of Esau/Edom and Ishmael will be crushed by the Israeli Defense Forces, and the long-ago prophesied fate of those enemies will be revealed (Obadiah chapter one, and Ezekiel 35. That will settle forever the question of God’s judgment on Esau/Edom, but what of all the other Gentile nations, that are neither Jews nor the descendants of Esau/Edom, that continue to defy God and pressure Israel to give up her land to her sworn enemies? Will they escape God’s judgment? Most assuredly, they will not.
Their fate was spoken by God and recorded in Genesis 12:3. Whether before the Tribulation Period, during that seven-year week of horrors, or after, when Jesus returns to set foot on the Mount of Olives, and prepare to deliver His judgment on the nations, they will experience the result of their disobedience, arrogance and betrayal.
“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God” (Hebrews 10:31).
Unfortunately for all that will be designated as “goat nations” (Matthew 25:31-46), they will most certainly experience the effects of “falling into the hands” of the God os Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and they will wish they had heeded the warning of Genesis 12:3.
Blessings and Maranatha!

Thank you Bud, for your thoughts based on sound Bible sources.
Bud’s comments reminded me of that Last Days’ event when all the nations will rise up against Israel. Only a decade ago, I would’ve thought that to be a far into the future event, but the unity of the great majority of nations (comprising the evil United Nations) against Israel is very real today. That scenario of the world against Israel is unfolding before our eyes….and God’s intervening protection of Israel may not be far off!
Thank you once again Paul! Things are certainly accelerating as far as Israel is concerned! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
