  1. Those quotes from Churchill and Wilson deserve serious thought, especially by committed Christians. We are on this planet to serve God’s purposes for good….to “enrich” His Kingdom.
    We have several verses urging us to be active in the Christian life, some of which are spoken by Jesus Himself –
    “let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
    “This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, PROVING yourselves to be My disciples.” John 15:8
    “Conduct yourselves with such honor among the Gentiles that, though they slander you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day He visits us.” 1 Peter 2:12
