USELESS BATTERY CARS
Long term readers may remember my report on Elon Musk launching one of his Tesla cars in to space. As my keeper, Algy, says: “a worthy destination for one of these “you must be dreamin'” machines”. Refresh your memory here, click on Elon’s picture below:
As a sequel one of Algy’s old Royal Air Force chums recently went on a holiday to Spain where a self-drive Tesla was included as part of the cost of the trip. This friend is a 25,000 hour plus experienced military pilot and wrote a scathing test report as recorded here. I have deleted some of the more colourful language so as not to offend my readers.
This monkey never ceases to wonder at human stupidity.

Now the Tesla : Awful beast !
Had about 10 minutes dual on a demonstrator and then I was told to go to the hotel car park and pick up our one. It took me 10 minutes to unlock the door ( camera-operated scan on a chunk of plastic ) and a further 10 minutes to get the beast started. It’s all touchscreen (excellent avionics – if you can understand it ) on a very good screen, but being a “stick & rudder man ” I was a bit lost. We decided to do a dummy run round the hotel grounds before going to a town. It became impossible to lock the car up (reverse of camera/chunk of plastic epic ) so had to creep back to Tesla rep for more dual. He had a bit of difficulty locking it too. We then drove up to a motorway which led to our destination but as I couldn’t work out the Satnav decided not to chance it. A type of fear gripped me in that I had visions of making a hash of any parking/failing to lock or unlock car/ getting lost/car getting stolen/inability to start it again ( chunk of plastic has many functions ) so we just went down a couple of side streets for 15 minutes. When you take your foot off the “loud pedal” the car grinds quickly to a halt. After our 15 minutes of motoring we slunk back to reception and left the chunk of plastic on the Tesla desk and scuttled off ! I wont be buying one & I guess that with your background you would hate it too Algy !!

One of my husband’s co-workers bought one of the hybrid cars, and when the battery went toes up and he found out how much a new one cost, he decided to just drive the thing as a gasoline car. The entire push for electric cars is a total joke, where do you think the electric comes from!
However, our children are so dumbed down by America’s worthless education, that they don’t realize we’re being hoodwinked.

“Hear, Hear” to all of the above. The whole EV Industry is a con trick on the gullible. Long live the reliable old ‘internal combustion’ device.
