THE SEARCH OF THE OLD PATHS
It gives me great pleasure to present yet another sermon from the indefatigable (incapable of being tired out; not yielding to fatigue; untiring) Wayne Edwards, Pastor of the Heritage Baptist Church, Perry, Georgia USA. You all need to have the basics of your faith pounded into you regularly especially in these dangerous end times. The service begins at approximately 21 minutes 15 seconds. The Watchmen’s Report follows and as usual it is essential reading.
Gibber! Gibber!

PASTOR WAYNE WRITES:
January 10, 2026
With this sermon, we begin our series of sermons “In Search of the Old Paths.”
We will begin by looking at the Apostle’s Creed, written in the 2nd century as a synopsis of the essential doctrines of the Christian faith. Church historians believe the Creed was first used in the early Christian churches to determine whether a candidate was eligible for baptism. They were required to verbally confess what they believed about the nine essential doctrines of the Christian faith before they were baptized. To be able to recite the Apostles’ Creed validated the sinner’s expressed faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.
Wow! What a difference that would make in the doctrinal integrity of the church today. Perhaps we need to start with today’s pastors!
The title of this Sunday’s sermon is: “The Apostle’s Creed.”
