THE POWER OF GOD
Algy was prompted by the heavy rain, and the odd rumble of thunder, last night to remember what he learned in the Royal Air Force about the power of thunderstorms. Vertical wind speeds in thunder clouds can exceed more than 100 mph – more than enough to tear an aircraft apart. Modern aircraft carry radar to assist in avoiding these “super cells”. There are tales of pilots bailing out in thunderclouds, after their aircraft disintegrated, and being “stoned” to death by hail, whilst being hurled about inside these clouds, strapped into their parachutes, until these were torn to shreds. Finally these unfortunate airmen were returned to earth, seriously dead.
As an illustration of the danger posed, the 1888 Moradabad Hail Event was a severe hailstorm that occurred on 30 April 1888 in Moradabad in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It had the highest recently recorded mortality associated with a hailstorm, and killed 246 people, 1600 cattle and sheep, with hailstones as large as “goose eggs, oranges and cricket balls”. The hailstones in some places accumulated up to 2 feet in height.
This all gives credence to the warnings in Scripture concerning God’s use of hail as a weapon against his enemies, human efforts are puny against such power. I have researched some of them for you below so you can ponder these truths:
Exodus 9:18-26
18 Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
19 Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.

24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
Joshua 10:11
11 And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the Lord cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.
Job 38:22-23
22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
Isaiah 30:30
30 And the Lord shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.
Revelation 16:21
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
In these end times described in Revelation it seems God is preparing his weaponry for the last assault. These verses alone should make you humans bend your knees and fall before the Lord.
Luke 21:28
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

The hail still to come as described in your Revelation 16 quote says each hailstone weighs a “talent”. According to Wikipedia, a “talent” of weight is around 20 to 40 kilograms….about the weight of a bag of concrete.
No wonder the next sentence in that verse describes people blaspheming! They would prefer to blaspheme God than turn to Him, even in terrible circumstances.
Sounds similar to the attitude of many today. Anything…just not God.
Thank you Paul, I did not realise the weight of these hailstones. They will completely recycle all military hardware and personnel to be used in the battle of Armageddon – including nuclear. Humans mostly still do not believe that this will happen! They have concrete for brains! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
Men may rail and blaspheme against God. Be warned.
For it is written: “ As I live, says the Lord , Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.”
Romans 14:11 NKJV
That is 100% correct as I read it, thanks Sydneysider. Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
Why do we still doubt the power of our God? So many tell you they still believe in God but have so little knowledge of him and no desire to get it.
