Pastor Wayne Edwards, Pastor of Heritage Baptist Church, Perry, Georgia, USA, continues his pertinent exposition of the Old Testament Prophet Amos as his teaching relates to you today. Click link above. Pastor Wayne was formerly experienced in the media, thus his synopsis of the latest news as it applies to Biblical prophecy is outstanding. Best way is to print from the link at the end of these notes. At the very least read the headlines. You need to keep believing that Jesus Christ is in control, be encouraged.

To my fellow watchmen,
I’m well aware these news handouts are quite disturbing to those who are not in tune with what God is doing in the world today, and what it all means for tomorrow. However, as the prophet Amos said, “Surely, the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets.”
To again quote Amos, “I’m not a prophet, or the son of a prophet,” but I know this, God is shaking the earth to get our attention, and the news stories and commentary in this week’s handouts document some of that shaking.
Very soon, God will shake the heavens to announce the Lord’s return. In Hebrews 12:25ff, the writer warned: “See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.”
Be prepared, and prepare those you love!
