PASTOR WAYNE WRITES
The Last Supper is one of the most heartrending moments of Jesus’ earthly ministry. On the last night of His time on earth, Jesus gathered His disciples to celebrate Passover as they all had done with their own families for many years. Mark said, “While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it, and gave it to them, and said, “Take it; this is My body.” Then He took the cup, and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. And He said unto them, this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many.” Mark 14:22-24
We will explain this further in our next sermon from the gospel of Mark, “The Passover Lamb.”

PASTOR WAYNE’S NEWS CLIPS:
March 25, 2023
My Fellow Watchmen,
As I write this article, Linda is assisting in one of the many “showers” for our granddaughter and husband, who are expecting their first child in May. From the looks of things, that child will be spoiled “rotten” before she makes her first cry!
While I know they will be thankful for the many tangible gifts, Linda and I have committed to “showering” them, and her, with the spiritual gift of daily prayer, for they must raise this child to “love the Lord thy God,” in the midst of an evil world that is under the control of Satan. From what I am hearing, reading, and seeing, today’s parents face a greater challenge in their God-given responsibility than previous generations.
Over the years, Linda and I have worked with parents who struggled to raise their children in times of financial poverty, and we saw God do some mighty things to prove Himself strong before those children. Today, as Pastor and wife, we are trying to equip the young parents in our church to raise their children in a day of spiritual poverty. However, according to the articles enclosed, that will be an even harder task in the days ahead, for the push to normalize the very sins that caused God to release His wrath upon society has reached the majority of mainstream Evangelical churches, and I now have a much deeper understand of why Jesus “wept” over Jerusalem!
Beloved, those of us who love the Lord and love our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, must not only HATE evil, we must do all we can to protect them from the evil one who comes to “steal, kill, and destroy.” The Bible makes it clear that this includes protecting them from those on the earth whose goal is to deceive them with their lies, i.e., teachers, coaches, peers, media, and sadly, false pastors and age-group leaders within the church. That authority also extends to those spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places whose goal is to destroy those who love God and hate sin.
That said, I understand why many parents are withdrawing their children from those entities that do not agree with their biblical values, and I salute them for that brave decision. However, the only weapon in our arsenal against the forces of wickedness in the heavenly places is PRAYER, for the only power greater than the power of evil is the Holy Spirit, and our only access to Him is through prayer. Parents, I urge you to assume the position…for the sake of our children.
Thank you for forwarding these news stories and opinion pieces to those who should be interested in them. Pastor Wayne
