The Hypocrites
By Bud Hancock
The Hypocrite: Liar, Backstabber and Man of Low Degree
“Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled: But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness (Isaiah 5:13-16).
The word “mean” used in this scripture is the Hebrew word “adam” (Strong’s 120, pronounced aw-dawm’). One of the translations of the word “mean”, as used in the scripture in Isaiah 5 is, “a human being who is a hypocrite”, a common sort of man, a man of low degree”. Many of the statements in the scripture from Isaiah chapter five clearly describe the hypocrite.
There are many synonyms for hypocrisy, for example, double dealing, two faced and phony. I could add another that was not found in the dictionary definitions: political. If that sounds harsh, good, it was meant to be just that since it is true.
The one thing that likely is not refuted is that the known hypocrite is a person who should not, indeed CANNOT, be trusted. Once a hypocrite is found out and confronted, his or her reputation as a liar and double-dealer becomes a mark that cannot be easily erased, if at all. Hypocrisy is defined as :
The practice of professing beliefs, feelings, or virtues that one does not hold or possess; falseness.
An act or instance of such falseness.
The act or practice of a hypocrite; a feigning to be what one is not, or to feel what one does not feel; a dissimulation, or a concealment of one’s real character, disposition, or motives; especially, the assuming of false appearance of virtue or religion; a simulation of goodness.
The Epitome of Hypocrisy……
is when the leaders of the the U.S., Australia, Canada, the European Union, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, acting from what provides an illusion of sympathy for oppressed peoples, call for Israel to accept a catastrophic cease fire with Hezbollah, a barbarous terrorist group, which would likely cause Israel to lose a just and winnable war, while at the same time encouraging Ukraine to continue fighting an unjust and unwinnable war with Russia. There must be a hidden truth in their hypocrisy; could it be that the hidden truth involves huge sums of money they will all gain by the success of both initiatives? After all, hypocrisy, being an evil act is being used to steal money from one source, for example, the American taxpayers, to use in an illegal support for a war that does not involve the American people. Paul made it plain how God feels about that. In 1 Timothy 6:10, God’s word says this: “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows”.
The group of leaders pushing this initiative is 100% comprised of politicians, and politicians most often make their decisions based on their desire for one, or more, of these three things: Money, Power and Control. They use deception and outright lies to get their ideas and plans accepted by those who have, but generally do not use, the power to stop their evil plans. When deception has been accepted over a long period of time, it becomes much easier for the deception to be increased without the deceived sensing they ae being lied to; as a result the deceived seem unaware they are accepting a state of being that will end in their utter destruction, like a frog placed into a pot of water over a fire with the heat being gradually increased, thereby boiling and killing the frog before he realizes he is doomed. At that point, the lie has overtaken the truth, and the deception becomes a self-sustaining delusion, leading to death and damnation.
Hypocrites Are NOT God-Pleasers
Psalm 62:9-12 says this: “Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity. Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them. God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God. Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work”.
The Hypocrite is an Abomination to God
“A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth. He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers; Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord. Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy. These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren (Proverbs 6:12-19).
One popular dictionary defines “abomination” as “Something regarded with extreme disgust or hatred; loathing. The words abomination/abominations are used more than 100 times in the Bible and in every instance, they are describing something, or someone, that brings forth disgust and loathing from God. When Almighty God says that certain actions done by people are an abomination to Him, it is important to pay attention and to avoid such actions at any cost.
What is it about the actions the Bible calls abominations that so angers God? Why would He be so angered at people who commit abominable acts? God, Who is Love, finds abominations as an affront to His very loving nature. Most times, a hypocrite, when found out as such, instead of repenting of his hypocritical actions, will attempt to lie to cover his actions and pass himself off as something else, trying to put off on others his own guilt, bias and hatred for truth. Of course, these traits are the very epitome of politicians, those mostly abominable persons who care only for their own pleasure, comfort and wealth, gained mostly at the expense of others.
CAIN PLANNING THE FIRST MURDER OF ABLE
The actions deemed abominable by God in His word describe people who use others in ways that are affront to Him and His nature. God loves mercy and is the epitome of a merciful being, One Who loves to forgive the sins of men when they repent and show contrition for their actions. Even though the acts they commit indicate a disdain for God, upon their repentance, He will wipe away all their guilt and set them on the right path back to Him. In return, God expects the forgiven to honor His mercy and forgiveness toward them by being merciful, forgiving and compassionate to all others. But those who continue in the ways of a hypocrite will eventually find themselves facing an angry, just God.
Read again, from Proverbs 6:16-19, the seven things that God considers an abomination to Him; the actions depicted seem to describe a person, who only acts for his own benefit with no consideration for the welfare of others and most certainly places him in the category of the hypocrite: 1) He will lie with impunity, 2) his hands easily shed the blood of others, even when he only “gives the orders” that cause that innocent blood to be shed, 3) his scheming ways show forth his evil nature, 4) he quickly runs to join causes that align with the evil imaginations he devises in his heart, 5) he will speak lies or obfuscations that hide truth and provide a witness in order to uphold the wicked and punish the innocent, 6) his actions work, usually in a sly, scheming manner to sow discord among brethren, and possibly the worst is that 7) he walks around with a proud attitude and proud look in spite of the fact that he is only evil continually.
The people who most closely fit this description in our current world are the politicians and national leaders who are aligning themselves against God and siding with His enemies and the enemies of Israel; they also fail to realize that their actions place them squarely in the of path that ends with their own complete destruction. These despicable God-haters are overtly telling the world that Israel has the right to defend themselves against their sworn enemies, but in the backrooms and in their covert actions, they threaten Israel with punishment if they dare to defend themselves beyond a certain point, hoping to give Israel’s enemies time to regroup and threaten Israel further. The lines these hypocrites draw that work to hamper Israel’s effort to defend their people and nation are usually done to allow the hypocrites’ covert actions, the evil imaginations devised in their evil hearts, to further enrich themselves and their cronies.
Unfortunately for the hypocrites, they seem unable to see any position except from their own perspective, likely due to their proud nature. They cannot get it through their heads that they do NOT have the final say on everything that happens on this planet. When it comes to Israel, they fail to understand that God chose that people to represent Him on this Earth, and even though they failed Him on many occasions, they are still HIS, and He will do whatever is needed to uphold His word regarding them and their promised future. So then where does this leave all the hypocrites who so fervently want to “play God” when it comes to Israel? In the judgement, Israel will remain while the fate of thew hypocrites is eternal damnation.
Bear in mind that, not only those so-called leaders of nations who are hypocrites, but ALL those who side with them and call for the destruction of Israel, will face the same bleak future:
“And there shall in no wise enter into it (Heaven/eternity) anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life” (Revelation 22:27).
There it is, clearly spelled out, the future of the Hypocrite, and unless one likes the idea of spending eternity in a vast burning pit, it is NOT a pretty picture.
Blessings and Maranatha!
