Dear Heritage Family and Friends,
The classic definition of the Victorious Christian Life is a life lived in faith, where believers, empowered by the Holy Spirit and fully surrendered to God, are able to triumph over sin, temptation, and worldly distractions through the power of the indwelling Christ. Such a life is not achieved through our own physical strength but rather by that moment-by-moment submission to God’s will.
Joshua’s victory over the Canaanites is a “type” of the Victorious Christian life. Joshua and his warriors were involved in the physical battle, as Christians are each day, but the battle and, therefore, the victory belonged to the Lord.
This Sunday’s sermon is based on the events in the 10th chapter of Joshua. The sermon’s title is: Victorious Christian Living: The God Who Fights for Us.”

My Fellow Watchmen,
In this edition of the Watchmen’s Report, please read Michael Syner’s articles on: “The Ten Things Christians need to know about the end of the war in Gaza.”
· Remember, the war has ENDED – but no one is claiming victory, and no one is admitting defeat.
- For those in the Islamic Faith, “Victory comes according to Allah’s timing, not ours. We seek to induce victory by adhering to the conditions of righteousness, but Allah delays or hastens the arrival of victory according to His wisdom. While we may start to lose hope at times and assume that Allah’s aid is distant and out of reach for us, Allah is in fact closer than we can imagine. It is for us to avoid getting lost in the afflictions of the moment or losing sight of Allah’s wisdom in His approach.” (From the Muslim American Society)
· Sadly, after the celebrations and memorials have ended, another generation of Arab children will be taught to hate the Jews, and that is the way it will be until Jesus comes again!
