Dear Heritage Family,
As antisemitism continues to increase across the world, our understanding of two passages from the prophecy of Zechariah becomes clearer.
· Zechariah 12:3 – “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
· Zechariah 12:9 – “And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.”
Hence, I changed my preaching calendar to insert a new series of sermons from the Book of Zechariah on “The Future Salvation of Israel.” The first sermon will define Israel’s prevailing enemies and how the Lord Jesus will destroy them on that day when He returns to this earth as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

NEWS HANDOUTS

Wayne J. Edwards
My Fellow Watchmen,
Today is Veterans Day, a day for U.S. citizens to pause, remember, and honor all who have served in any way in any branch of the U.S. military, living or dead. Without their service, the United States of America might look very different today. As President Woodrow Wilson put it, “The reflections of [Veterans] Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations.”
Veterans Day began on 11 November 1918, when the armistice was signed, ending the war with Germany, the last remaining Central Power in World War I. Streets around the world were flooded with celebrations as the news spread. People were filled with relief and pure joy as the war and devastation finally ended. In the following years, people all over the world paused at the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month,” to celebrate the signing of the armistice and the war’s end.
It would be interesting to know if our children know that, and if not, why not? For these special days are calendared, “lest we forget!” Methinks, we have already!
To my fellow vets – “Salute!”
