PASTOR WAYNE WRITES

July 11, 2025

Dear Heritage Family and Friends,

The lack of effectiveness of today’s evangelical church is the result of pastors prioritizing the human needs of their congregation over their greater spiritual need to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, and challenging them to continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord until they reach to the level of spiritual maturity defined in Colossians 1:29, and Ephesians 4:11-16.  The apparent result of this shift is not only in the decline in church attendance, but even more importantly, in the lack of spiritual engagement of those in attendance – they are more like spectators at a concert than participants in a worship service.

If the true purpose of the church, as defined in the New Testament, is to be restored, it is the pastors and church leaders who must take the lead. They must guide the church back to a God-centered, Christ-focused, Biblically-based worship service, where the unvarnished gospel is clearly preached, and those who express their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord are challenged to grow in their faith until they become reproducing reproducers.

The title of this sermon from Philippians 3:12-21 is, “The Epistle of Joy – Pressing Toward the Goal.”

THE WATCHMEN’S REPORT

News Stories that Connect with Biblical Prophecy

GOD INTERVENED IN WASHINGTON- PART TWO

FROM KOENIG’S EYE VIEW – JULY 12, 2025

Over the last 72 hours, I’ve spoken with three highly respected Israeli journalists who must remain anonymous for now, to get their perspective on Prime Minister Netanyahu’s visit with President Trump at the White House. Their insights reflect a deeply complex moment in U.S.–Israel relations — with pressure mounting quietly beneath the surface, even as smiles and public unity dominate the headlines.

One journalist, known for his close contacts in the Israeli security establishment, believes there won’t be blatant pressure on Netanyahu from Trump. But there will be expectations — expectations tied to what Trump believes he’s done for Israel. He’s armed Israel, defended Netanyahu politically, and even approved the direct Israeli strike on Iran. In Trump’s mind, that goodwill should translate into Netanyahu cooperating when the time comes — particularly on “peace” plans and regional deals. “Trump feels Netanyahu owes him — not just for past military aid and political cover, but for the green light on Iran. That’s where the expectations come in,” he said.

Another offered perhaps the most optimistic view, stating there may be no precedent for the current level of U.S.–Israel cooperation — at all levels. He doubts Netanyahu will be pressured and believes Trump will give him room to act when the timing is right. “The relationship is stronger than ever. I don’t see Netanyahu being boxed in. He’ll have the freedom to move at his own pace,” he explained.

That’s where the conversation with another friend becomes essential. He fully understands and respects our position: that no Abraham Accords deal — present or future — should contain a covenant land component. Israel must retain full sovereignty over Judea and Samaria and all the land God gave to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and their descendants. This is a non-negotiable matter of biblical and geopolitical reality. “Judea and Samaria aren’t bargaining chips. They’re part of God’s covenant — period,” he emphasized.

We also revisited a critical theological challenge arising from the Abraham Accords: Arab nations are now asserting that, as descendants of Abraham through Ishmael, they too have a claim to the land — and even to the blessings of Genesis 12:3. This interpretation is gaining traction in diplomatic circles, and it must be biblically and theologically addressed. Here’s how we must frame it — clearly, consistently, and publicly:

·         The land of Israel is not to be negotiated. It was given by everlasting covenant to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — and their descendants (Genesis 15:18).

·         Genesis 12:3 is specific to the covenant line. The blessing comes through Abraham’s covenant descendants — not through Hagar and Ishmael.

·         God has blessed the descendants of Ishmael (Genesis 16:10–12). But interfering with God’s plan for Israel has spiritual consequences — including for Arab states.

This isn’t just theological hair-splitting — it’s the spiritual foundation of geopolitical alignment. If the Arab states persist in claiming or demanding portions of Israel’s covenant land — under the false pretense of an “Abrahamic” connection — they will face the same judgment Genesis 12:3 warns of. That warning applies to any state — Arab, Muslim, or Western — that attempts to divide God’s land. The money may be flowing in, but it comes with political strings and spiritual consequences. And while we speak of foreign influence, we must not ignore the growth of radical Islamic activity on American soil — including in Texas, Maryland, and Michigan — where mosque expansion, political engagement, and subtle ideological influence are accelerating. Radical Islam must never be given equal footing with Judeo-Christian values in our national identity.

Finally, all three of my journalist friends immediately recognized the timing of the catastrophic Texas floods — as Netanyahu was about to leave Israel Washington for White House talks (referring to my book, Eye to Eye). They saw the event. They saw the headlines, and they were also directly aware of the “behind the scenes” pressure being applied on Netanyahu before and up to his arrival in Washington. The top news in Washington this week was Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the White House and the tragic Texas floods.

“Since October 1989, there has been a consistent pattern: whenever there is pressure to divide or relinquish parts of Israel’s Abrahamic covenant land, the nation applying that pressure experiences record-setting disasters—there has been 180-billion-dollar catastrophes in the United States. The greater the pressure, the greater the corresponding catastrophe.”

We will continue monitoring the situation closely. And once again, as history continues to accelerate around us, we are reminded: We are living in biblically significant times. God’s time clock remains Jerusalem.

HOWEVER, THE BATTLE OVER THE LAND CONTINUES!!

France and Saudi Arabia will convene a conference to promote the two-state solution by the end of July, a source familiar with the details told The Jerusalem Post on Friday. Diplomatic sources had also reportedly told Saudi-based Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath that the conference is supposed to take place on July 28 and 29. Israeli officials previously claimed that the conference was intended to promote unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state—a claim France firmly denies.

The leaders of France, the United Kingdom, and Canada released a statement back in June that ended, “We affirm the important role of the High-level Two-State Solution Conference at the UN in June in building international consensus around this aim. And we are committed to recognizing a Palestinian state as a contribution to achieving a two-state solution and are prepared to work with others to this end.”

US President Donald Trump also commented on the notion of a two-state solution in June, saying, “I support a plan of peace, and it can take different forms. I support whatever solution we can find to get peace. There are other ideas other than two-state, but I support whatever is necessary to get not just peace, [but] a lasting peace. It can’t go on where every five years you end up in tragedy. There are other alternatives.”
