Dear Heritage Family,
While the majority of Americans believe Jesus was a real man who walked on the earth 2000 years ago and should be respected as a great religious leader, only 56% believe He was, in fact, God. While it may not surprise us to hear those statistics regarding the general population, what should drive us to our knees is that almost a third of those who claim to be evangelical Christians reject the deity of Jesus Christ. How can that be?
Charles H. Spurgeon said, “Depend upon it, my hearer, you never will go to heaven unless you are prepared to worship Jesus Christ as God.” The fact is, we can’t accept Christ as our Savior unless He is also our Lord. Submitting ourselves unto Christ as our Master is the only way we can be delivered from the mastery of Satan’s schemes.
This week, we will continue our sermon series on the Church as the Pillar and Ground of Truth. The title of this sermon is “The Deity of Jesus Christ.”

My Fellow Watchmen,
I know our minds are focused on the prophetical issues regarding the current war in Israel. Will there be a temporary peace? Will there be a regional expansion? Will it lead to WWIII and the final wars of this age? Only God knows for sure.
However, the major issue is not the survival of the nation of Israel, for the nation of Israel is established on an everlasting covenant with God. The fact that Israel exists is a miracle, and the fact that, after 2000 years of exile, they have not only returned to their land, but to their former culture, their former language, and to what remains of their beloved Temple. No other nation on earth has been so blessed. By the way, this was all predicted in Amos 9:14-15, Isaiah 11:11, and Ezekiel 20:34, just to whet your appetite.
In Zechariah 12, God said He would DESTROY every nation that comes against Israel. In Genesis 12:3, Obadiah 12:3, Joel 2, the Bible says God will send judgment upon the nations that try to divide the land of Israel, and yet, since 1991, the United States of America has pressured Israel to give up a portion of the land God gave to them in exchange for peace. As our Israeli tour guide said, “We gave them the land, but they gave us a PIECE of paper!”
Two men, Bill Koenig, and Dr. John McTernan have documented more than 50 examples of God’s judgment upon America around the times we have put the most pressure upon Israel to give up a portion of their land for the establishment of a Palestinian state. America is about to receive a clear, direct warning from God in the form of an eclipse, which is why I focused on this story in this in-depth edition of the Watchmen’s Report. God help us!
