Dear Heritage Family,
Rather than abandoning us, as many have wrongly concluded, God is USING the judgments He has released upon our nation to call His people to repent of our sins and return to Him. Like a loving father to a rebellious child, God’s heart breaks when He sees His children turning away from His protection, His provision, and His promises.
Through the voice and pen of the prophet Zechariah, God told His people, if you return to Me, I will return to you. However, God didn’t call His people to return to their routine religious rules and rituals, but rather to their personal, intimate relationship and fellowship with Him.

My Fellow Watchmen,
According to the Collins Dictionary of idioms, to “spit in the wind, is “to do something that is totally pointless, fruitless, or futile; to waste one’s time doing something that will not or cannot come to pass.” To be honest, after spending several hours reading, assessing, editing, assembling, and submitting these few articles for this in-depth edition of the News Handouts, I wondered if I’m just “spitting in the wind!”
Not many of you will take the time to read these articles, which will be such a shame, for if you want to know WHY things are happening today as they are, the WHO is behind it all, and WHAT their end-game is, you have to read beyond the headlines, and in today’s “tweet” world of 280 characters, I doubt many of you will read this opening paragraph.
However, with that off of my chest, I urge, beg, plead, beseech, implore, entreat, and yes, PRAY, you will take the time to read these few reports that have to do with the fundamental reason for the chaos and confusion of our society, for the root of it all is the WORLDVIEW of those in positions of leadership in our government, our schools, and in our churches. But my greatest concern is, that while we are fusing, fighting, and fuming over the stench of our rotting culture, OUR CHILDREN ARE BEING IMMERSED IN THE MIRE OF IT, and according to the last article, ONLY 3% OF TODAY’S CHILDREN EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS TO HAVE A BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW.
God is using the very things we are so angry about to bring His people to repentance. As my dear friend Avery Willis once said, “God is letting us experience the consequences for our [forefathers] sins and [their] decisions to leave Him out of [their] our lives and our nation. He has allowed the enemy to come in like a flood.”
Parents, please stop “spitting in the wind,” trying to change the ungodly culture in which we live, and start training your children how to live for God in this ungodly culture that is going to get even worse before the Lord returns.
