THE DAY AFTER THE RAPTURE

It is most encouraging to listen to Pastor Wayne Edwards again connecting Biblical prophecies with the times in which the human race now finds itself. Click link above and select The Day After the Rapture. Also notice the collage of articles at the end of this introduction. I recommend printing them off to read at leisure, perhaps sitting in a deck chair in the garden, while enjoying the Australian Spring weather.

Pastor Wayne Edwards writes:
However, while the wrath of God is poured out on those who rejected Christ, and the world is being ruled by the Antichrist, true believers will be standing before the Judgment Seat of Christ. In 2 Corinthians 5:10, Paul said, “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” The judgment seat of Christ does not determine our salvation; that was settled by our faith alone in Christ alone. The judgement seat of Christ will determine the value of our lives in relationship to the Kingdom of God, and therefore our rewards.
In this sermon of this series, “God’s Unfolding Drama of Redemption,” we will look at the events that will occur “The Day After the Rapture.”

Just listened to Wayne’s latest sermon you sent out – “the Day after the rapture”.
He’s a good man for sure….and yet It really disturbed me in the end and for this reason;
He is teaching correctly that our sins of the past are forgiven at conversion – and yet future sin must be PARTICULARLY repented of, and if not, they will follow us to the BEMA seat for judgement.
This is unbiblical, and unorthodox. In my humble opinion. He is putting a burden on people that i s not of God.
If Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection is not sufficient to forgive ALL our sin – unless we continually and particularly repent of them – then we are ‘god’ – and hold our eternal wellbeing in our own hands.
That is an alarming teaching – it is subtle and dangerous
error.
We are NOT to be judged at the BEMA seat for sin – but the quality of our service for Christ during our lives…it is abut our works. I just hope your readers/listeners discern where this is very, very wrong – and almost blasphemous?
As Christ died He used an accounting term to describe what He had just done for us. It is FINISHED, He said – in the Greek; Tetelestai – This was written on a bill, on an account and it meant “Paid in Full”, it meant that account was now closed, the debtor no longer owed anything. The Bible is clear that Christ’s death on the cross was the full payment of a sin debt that we all owed.! ALL of it.
It is a shame because Wayne preaches so well, and yet he is putting a burden on people’s shoulders that does not belong there?? I fear for people sitting under this sort of teaching? If you have the time, please listen to his sermon again and see if you agree with me?
