The Coming Change: Politics vs Truth
By Bud Hancock
Introduction
Politics is the current modus operandi (method of operations) of this world system. More on that later.
Politics is the system which, to some extent, controls most of the population of the world. The process is used to place people in positions of tremendous power in most of the nations on Earth. If the process were one that is honest and controlled by people with a standard of ethics and morals that we here in the United States have accepted as the norm for most of our 247 years of existence as a nation, the process could be counted on to produce great results and be of benefit to all the inhabitants of the planet. However, since the entire system is one that has existed since the rebellion and fall of man and is used to gain power, consolidate power, and maintain that consolidation of power, it totally lacks any honesty, any ethics, or morals, either in its foundation or in its participants. If functions using methods and strategies that are anything but honest and ethical, and as time goes by, it becomes increasingly dishonest and corrupt.
- “In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.” ~ Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Democratic President of the US during WW2.
- “There is no act of treachery or meanness of which a political party is not capable; for in politics, there is no honor “ ~ Benjamin Disraeli
Many world leaders and philosophers have long understood exactly what politics really is. Contrary to what many ordinary people may believe, politics is NOT an innocuous means of governing a nation or people for their benefit or for the common good. In fact, the only people who benefit from any system using politics as a modus operandi, are those who willingly participate in, and ultimately control, the system, usually the leaders of the various political parties and the people who inhabit positions gained via participation in the system, such as members of a nation’s congress or parliament.
The people who mistakenly believe they actually are allowed to elect these people to their various offices, hoping to receive the benefits promised to them by their constitution, receive no benefits whatsoever from them. However, any constitution is merely a document drawn up by men who did, at one time, believe the document could cause men to desire to be better, more ethical, more moral, and more honest.
I cannot quote any official statistics or survey results regarding people’s feelings about politics, but from reading many articles on the subject, I dare say that most people regard politics as lacking any ethics, any morals and therefore any truth. In fact, I would put forth the belief that based on what politics is, what it promotes and how it is used, there CANNOT be any truth in it. Unfortunately, if true, it means that the entire world is under the control of a completely dishonest system that is beyond the control of those who would like to see it changed.
Many of us who have achieved senior years have long been aware that there is something dreadfully wrong with the current system of governing, not just in the United States, but in every nation on Earth. The younger folk may not sense this condition, yet, simply because they have not lived long enough to see the results of the working of the system, or possibly they lack the maturity to even want to see the problems.
Lie vs Truth
There are many truths in life that are so easily understood, they need no additional explanation. These truths can be called “common sense” (much less common these days) and are often a matter of one thing being the direct opposite of some other thing. For example, cold is the direct opposite of hot, wet is the direct opposite of dry, darkness is the direct opposite of light, good is the opposite of evil, etc. All these described ARE direct opposites; that is a fact. To deny that they are opposites is the lie. What many fail to understand though is the relationship between truth and the lie. Truth IS the direct opposite of the lie and one could never approach the other in order for them to become similar under any circumstances.
When I was a youngster (seems like eons ago), for the twelve years of my public education, I never considered what I was supposed to be doing during my years in school, but I now understand that it was supposed o be a time of gaining knowledge about many subjects, and that knowledge was meant to determine my level of intelligence, what some call the IQ, or “intelligence quotient”, a term no longer in scientific use, but what was then a number representing the ratio of tested mental age to chronological age, usually expressed as a quotient multiplied by 100.
That term raises the question: What is “intelligence”? Per the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, it is defined as ”the ability to learn or understand or to deal with new or trying situation; also : the skilled use of reason”. The American Heritage Dictionary defines it as: “The ability to acquire, understand, and use knowledge”. This ability may well determine how successful a person is, or can be, because in this life, the result of lacking this ability is a life of confusion, usually with little success to show for time spent on this planet.
In my high school physics class, we were taught what is now understood as the Pauli Exclusion Principle which states that two solid physical objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time. Quite simply, the electrons of each object will repel each other, thus preventing the occupation of the same space at the same time.
This could be easily applied to spiritual objects as well. The lie cannot occupy the same space as the truth in the spirit realm because they are opposites and repel each other. Applied to the study of politics and politicians, this would mean that those who accept the need for politics as a means of governing, are willing to also accept as a premise that the system is something other than dishonest, unethical, and corrupt.
Political Hirelings
Political parties and politicians hire “professional liars” (commonly known as the media) to present their agenda to millions of people who still have the foolish idea that the media are honest journalists (hint: they are NOT) The lies upon which the entire system of politics is based then become the narrative that supports the agenda promulgated through these willingly complicit hirelings.
The system that controls a majority of governments in the world is a completely dishonest and corrupt system. Without the lies upon which politics is built, politicians would be tongue-tied because, based on the training they receive as neophyte politicians, they become expert, smooth liars, but are unable to promote any truth, it being foreign to their character: they have no truth in them.
Jesus fully understood this when he addressed the politicians of His time, the teachers of the law, the Jewish scribes and Pharisees who had brought a woman caught in adultery to see what Jesus would do. He knew each of their own sins, their two-facedness, and their treachery. He told them:
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it” (John 8: 44).
These same words could as easily have been spoken to the so-called leaders of every government on Earth right now and they would be as à propos as they were when first uttered by Jesus to the lawyers of His time.
Satan, being the originator of lies and thus, the father of lies, is incapable of speaking the truth, and cannot get the truth to exit the mouths of his minions. So it stands to reason that expecting truth from today’s political system and the participants in it, means that to avoid deception, as was commanded by Jesus to His followers, we must guard our minds against deception and “take with a grain of salt”, everything we read and hear from the government and from the media. God, through the Holy Spirit, provides discernment that will prevent us from being led astray and deceived by the false prophets who are actually the wolves in sheep’s clothing who are so active in the deception of the Church, the Body of Christ.
The Coming Change
Unfortunately, the system of “governance by politics” in which the world’s citizens find themselves trapped is one that will not be removed by human action. If that were possible, the DC swamp would have been drained while Donald Trump was the POTUS. However, the time is soon coming that will see a complete cessation of all politics, and rather than a system based on greed, lies, deception and corruption, the coming change will bring about a new system based on truth with righteousness as its foundation. Lies, deception and corruption will become nothing more than a dim part of mankind’s history.
Jesus, who entered this world as a lamb will return as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the righteous King Who is TRUTH; He will be the head of this new system and all government under the new system will be run by Him (Isaiah 9:6). Therefore, the current corrupt system that has taken the entire world to the brink of destruction willhave been crushed along with all its participants who were the minions of Satan.
What will become of all those who have propped up the corrupt system, thereby enriching themselves almost beyond measure? Unless they have repented of their wickedness and have renounced Satan and all his evil, they will perish along with the system that enriched them.
But when will this change happen? As we move further toward the end of the Church Age, we can see the signs that Jesus told about in Matthew 24 and 25. We are now seeing a convergence of all those signs, an indication that we are very near the end of the Church age, awaiting the appearance of Jesus to remove us from a world and an Earth that will face His wrath and judgment.
After the seven years of Jacob’s trouble, that same Jesus will not only reappear, He will actually return and stand upon the Mount of Olives where He will proclaim His Kingdom and the end of all other governments of the former world. Finally, the old corrupt system of politics will be removed, never to show itself again, and those who have survived God’s cleansing judgment will see what a righteous King can do as Jesus establishes His eternal kingdom based on Truth and Righteousness!
If you are not sure where you will appear when Jesus returns, you only have a short window of time to make a quality decision and leave the politically-controlled old world system and align yourself with the Righteous King of the universe. That will be the best decision you have ever made!
Blessings and Maranatha!
Born and raised in a small textile town in North Carolina, Bud’s family moved to Michigan in the hope of finding better employment with General Motors. After graduating from high school, Bud began an apprenticeship with General Motors to become a Metal Modelmaker. Retiring after a 30 year career, which included an eight year stint as a Metrologist (Science of high precision measurement), he and his wife moved back to North Carolina to be near his elderly parents. Shortly thereafter, with both of his parents having passed, he began a new career in the bank security/ATM business, advancing from an entry level technician to one of two North Carolina customer service managers for his employer. Retiring again after 13 years, he and his wife of 51 years relocated to Tennessee where Bud began writing articles emphasizing Biblical teaching and geopolitical issues. At age 75, he and his wife relocated to South Carolina with their Miniature Schnauzer, Baxter. Bud continues to study God’s word and write articles on Christian living and geopolitical issues from the Biblical end times perspective.

Thank you Bud! My wife and I have a son who is an unbeliever, yet he will fully agree with your thoughts on the corruption of governments around the world. So….we intend to offer your insights to him, and we’ll pray that your words about Jesus as our living Truth will be blessed into his heart and mind.
How encouraging Paul! Hope this helps his though processes! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
