PASTOR WAYNE WRITES:
December 12, 2025
Perhaps the one verse most of us have in our minds when we think about the Book of Joshua is Chapter 24:15. After reminding the Israelites of all that God had done for them, Joshua challenged them to “Choose ye this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua then challenged the Israelites to renew their loyalty to the Mosaic Covenant, and as a nation, the people declared, “We will serve the Lord.”
Without a doubt, God’s people need to be brought to such a time of renewal; to review God’s blessings and to reaffirm our covenant of faith with God, that by receiving His Son as our Savior and Lord, He will forgive us of our sins, and we will serve as His witnesses in this world.

News Stories that Connect with Biblical Prophecy
By Wayne J. Edwards, December 13, 2025
My Fellow Watchmen,
As only a Sovereign God could have arranged, I was privileged to have Dr. Francis Schaeffer as an adjunct Professor of Sociology during my studies at Columbia Bible College in Columbia, S.C. At that time, Schaeffer was introducing his video series, “How Should We Then Live,” and, for a country boy raised on a daily dose of the realities of life with a side of hope, this type of study was a challenge for me. However, looking at our society today, oh, how I wish I could retake Schaeffer’s classes.
One of his famous quotes is making the social media “reels” today, and it pretty well sums up Schaeffer’s philosophy of life.
“Modern man, having rejected God, finds himself in an absurd position: he believes he is nothing but the product of chance, yet he demands meaning, value, and purpose in a meaningless universe.”
Schaeffer’s quote came to mind as I read the enclosed article on “Saving Gen-Z,” so, let’s adapt his quote to read:
“Having removed the knowledge of God from our children’s education, we have now placed our children in an absurd position. We have taught them that they are nothing but the product of chance; that human life began when lightning struck a mud-puddle and produced a tadpole, and over time, the tadpole became a person, and that they live in a world that had no beginning and has no end. However, we still expect them to find meaning and purpose in their lives in the midst of this nothingness.”
No wonder 34% of Gen Z takes prescription meds for mental health, and 46% have been diagnosed with conditions like anxiety and depression. My question is, how long will Christian parents allow their children to be indoctrinated into this “nothingness?”
Please share these few articles with those you think might be interested. Let’s spread the message and keep the conversation going. Your participation is key to our collective effort.
