Dear Heritage Family and Friends,
For the first 200 years, America was the most admired and envied nation in the world because the core of Western Civilization was based upon the values and virtues of the Christian faith. However, since 1930, secular humanists have strived to remove any notion of a sovereign Lord from our heritage and to replace it with our loyalty to the global community.
While there are many reasons for this secular shift, those Holy Days and Sacred Traditions that once linked generations together, i.e., Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, have been replaced with secular holidays; they have been liberated from their original meaning and their value to transfer the truth to the next generation. The American culture that was based on the Judeo-Christian values of respect for human life and the golden rule has become an anti-God, antiChrist culture with no respect for human life and those who have the gold rules.
Therefore, to survive as a nation, we must reaffirm the traditions of our Judeo-Christian heritage, and I pray for such a revival to begin in your house as you take the time to make sure your children know the truth about how God has blessed America.
In that regard, the title of this sermon is: “Thanksgiving: A Day of Public Reverence.”

My Fellow Watchmen,
Beloved, the following paragraph is from William Bradford’s journal.
“In the name of God, Amen. We, whose names are underwritten,
having undertaken
for the Glory of God and Advancement of the Christian Faith,
a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts of Virginia,
do solemnly and mutually, in the Presence of God and one another,
covenant and combine ourselves into a civil Body,
for our preservation,
and the furtherance of the ends aforesaid.”
I find it hard to believe that anyone could read this original document and not conclude that, at least in establishing the initial government of America, William Bradford used the basic principles of leadership outlined in the Holy Scriptures, especially in God’s dealings with the nation of Israel.
No, America was never intended to be a “Christian-only Nation,” in the sense that every citizen would be forced to embrace the doctrines of the Christian faith. However, the initial management of this new nation was based upon those Judea-Christian values, and its purpose was for the “furtherance” of the Christian worldview. Let’s not let the history revisionists erase our Christian heritage.
