STING LIKE A BEE
Muhammad Ali’s son, (Muhammad Jr) pictured RHS to his father, on our heading photo, said:
“Dad wouldn’t have supported Black Lives Matter movement or protests over George Floyd’s death……”
Algy tells me his grandmother, Nora, was enchanted by Cassius Clay and his ability “to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee”. Link here:
She was in her eighties when Cassius won the world boxing championship. As you know, he re-named himself Muhammad Ali, soon after doing this his fortunes seemed to diminish.
I was interested to hear Rowan Dean say yesterday on his “must watch” top rating Sky show Outsiders, that Cassius’ son, Muhammad Ali Junior, made the above statement. How times have changed, what happened to the voices of reason? The zoo appreciates that Outsiders provides some!

What wonderful memories I have as a young man following the amazing boxing career of Mohammed Ali. He was not at all the stereotypical boxer, as he was witty and articulate, and his face did not appear to be at all scarred by years of pugilism. Top of the memories is the “thriller in Manila” where he fought Joe Frazier. What a contest!
He was so influential. I’m sad that he’s no longer around to speak some common sense into his compatriots. But maybe the agitators don’t want common sense, as they have a more sinister and destructive political agenda they want to pursue.
Thanks for this insightful comment Paul. Humanity is the poorer without non PC characters like Cassius! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
