Political Victory Celebration, With a Spiritual Caveat

Trump Won: Where Do We Go From Here?
The new 47th president-elect is none other than the former 45th POTUS, Donald J . Trump. The culmination of a long, arduous campaign by the 45th President of the United States assured that a Republican will be occupying the White House for at least four years, beginning in January 2025.
What with several assassination attempts on his life (none of them successful, thank God), the unbridled lawfare that kept Trump tied up in courtrooms for many weeks during the campaign, and the seemingly endless vitriol spewed at him and his supporters by the opposition in collusion with deep state, the mainstream media and large corporations, made it one of the most vicious campaigns I have ever witnessed. But in the end, it seems the American people decided they have had enough of the hatred, name-calling and threats to lock Trump up.
So, now that Trump is officially the president-elect, waiting to be inaugurated on January 20, 2025, we can all relax, leave the governing to Trump and his cabinet picks and the new Congress to make everything better, and return to our everyday, mundane lives, right? I mean, the huge slogan for the Trump camp, carried over from his 2020 campaign, was “Make America Great Again”, so the election results are certain to make that happen, right? His historic political comeback will ensure that the MAGA agenda is successful, right?
Not so fast.
Please, do not get me wrong, I am supremely glad that Trump won this election. I shudder to contemplate what America would have become, in a very short time, had his opponent won. But anyone who has ever read my articles knows just where I stand on POLITICS. I have never been shy when speaking or writing about it. I know of no other process whereby human beings are governed that is more disgusting, foul and corrupt, than POLITICS. This foul and evil process, so closely tied to the fallen nature of humanity, has been the bane of human existence for nearly 6000 years and has not become any less disgusting, foul or corrupt in that long period of time. It has proven to be a failed and ever-failing process.
Having said that, the entire campaigns of both Trump and his opponent, were a practice in PARTY POLITICS, and rightly so since the opposition had no successes on which to run, no detailed plans for future success, so the left’s modus operandi of pure party, hate Trump politics, was their only play. For Trump’s part, he had to fight the fire of the leftists with his own right-wing fire. Thankfully, the fire from the right must have burned a little deeper into the consciousness of the electorate than did the fire from the left, or just possibly, it ignited the feelings and passions of many Americans that had grown tired of the lies, the propagandizing and the empty promises of the last four years. But, make no mistake, whether viewed from the left or from the right, politics is still just a dirty process that cannot be cleaned up by the results of one election; indeed, it cannot be cleaned up no matter how many elections are held. It began dirty and has remained dirty to this present moment.
So then, does this mean we have no hope of anything improving as a result of the election, any hope that solutions to the problems that have plagued and bothered so many Americans for many years will be forthcoming? Those are questions that should be in the process of being asked by every American, but personally, after seeing Trump in action for the four years of his first term, I am hopeful that he will, once again, be true to his word and begin again the “swamp cleanup” that he (almost) started in his first term but was unable to complete due to overwhelming opposition from both the left (Marxists) and the right (RINOs).
As a caveat to those hopes, I must advise the reader to not expect something from President Trump that he cannot deliver, at least not on his own. Exactly what do I mean by that? Because there are so many similarities between the United States and Israel, let’s look back at the history of the Jewish people and their rulers. When they were obedient to God, and were ruled by Godly Judges and Kings, usually in coordination with the Prophets God sent to keep them in line with His word, they were blessed and prosperous.
There was a great empire called Nineveh that had become very wicked and was a stink in God’s nostrils, so He sent the prophet Jonah to warn the Ninevites to repent and turn to God or suffer imminent destruction. After some hesitation by Jonah, he did go and fulfill God’s command to preach to the people of Nineveh, and upon their repentance, they were able to escape the destruction and remain a great empire. However, it was the deliverance of, and the response to, God’s word and NOT a political action, that saved Nineveh.
In Psalms 33:12, written by King David, we are told: “ Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance”. To be blessed requires some action on the part of the “blesser”, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Jehovah God. There is also an action on the part of the people/nation, namely that they must make the True God, their LORD.
For those who have studied physics, Newton’s Third Law of Motion will likely be familiar. In simple terms, it states that “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction”. Applying that logic to the words of the Psalmist in the scripture above, we can safely state that “Cursed is the nation whose God is NOT the Lord .
Let me quote Bonnie Harvey of Hebrew Nation Radio who said: “There is no political solution to a spiritual problem”. The problems that have plagued this nation for many years are NOT political problems, at least not in totality. They are indeed spiritual in nature and the Bible specifically says that in the Psalm quoted. The fact that the people of this nation, the United States of America, turned their backs on God and allowed politics to take precedence over the word of God, created the atmosphere for continued apostasy, and instead of solving the nation’s problems, they only grew worse. To fully understand why I say that with such confidence, one must truly understand the nature of and dictionary definition of POLITICS. Here it is:
“The use of underhanded crafty schemes, plots, intrigues and deceitful plans, methods, or series of maneuvers (machinations and intrigue) in obtaining any position enabling one to do or act (with power), providing the capability of control, domination or command (control)”. I will gladly provide my research on this definition upon request.
Please note that I am not saying all the problems we have in our nation are a result of the political process used to determine which party or individuals govern our nation. But if we expect to solve the spiritual problems which caused a nation to turn away from God, and led our people to depend on government for blessings and success instead of depending on our God, then spiritual solutions is where we must focus our attention.
While the United States was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, and while this nation was a beacon of the light of the gospel to the world, in the past 60 years we have seen a serious turning away from God, among many Christian denominations and ministries, to follow their own gods. What do I mean by “their own gods”? Just this: Anything that takes precedence over the reverence for, and worship of, the ONLY TRUE GOD, is considered apostasy, a turning away from truth and the God of Truth. This action, turning away from God, is a sure indication of the opposite of the blessings that we are promised in Psalm 33:12.
While I applaud the nation’s voters for turning out and electing Donald Trump, I must caution that no man actually made America great before, and no man will, on his own, make America great again. Until, and unless, America once again makes Jehovah God the Lord of this nation, we will continue to struggle with the same problems that have brought distrust, division and destruction to our shores. Unless these spiritual problems are addressed spiritually, nothing will truly change. While I believe Donald Trump was a great POTUS in his first term, unless he himself focuses on the will of God and allows Godly wisdom to guide him as he enters his second term, we will not see the changes we truly desire.
The approach to the solutions is a matter to be addressed, first and foremost, by the Church, the Body of Christ. But do not be confused or deceived about what the Church is. The Church is NOT just a “warm in winter, cool in summer” comfortable place to take the wife and kids and spend a few hours on Sunday morning singing “feel good” hymns and worship songs and listening to a 30 minute sermon that may or may not align with the word of God. If this is the idea Christians have regarding what the Church is, they have missed the instruction of scripture entirely.
Just for a minute or two, think spiritually, using your God-connected spirit and not just your earth-connected brain. The Church is THE BODY OF CHRIST, a spiritual body made up of millions of individual flesh and blood human beings commissioned by the Lord Jesus Christ to carry out His mission on this Earth. Over the past 2000 years, since Jesus left this Earth and was taken up into heaven, the Church has been attacked with massive deception that has watered down, not only the meaning of the word, but the mission given to it by the Lord. As a result, schisms, divisions and denominations have allowed many human ideas and thoughts to take the place of God’s word in the Church. What we now have resembles, not the Christian Ecclesia (look it up) that we were meant to be, but instead, a continual and often heated debate about the many small differences that allowed denominations to form what became the “Organized Religion” of Christianity instead of the organism of the Body of Christ. In many cases these debates became more of an intellectual fist fight between religious groups than a God-worshipping group of human beings who understand what Jesus was saying when He sent His disciples into the whole world to deliver the gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ (the Anointed One and His Anointing).
The ”watering down” I mentioned in the last paragraph has allowed, or even caused, organized religion to prioritize, not the spreading of the God-centered gospel of Jesus Christ, but the building of man-centered ministries focused on building megachurches, always seeking more and diverse ways to bring in the revenues needed to keep those massive churches open. How many megachurches, or even small local churches, allot a certain amount of their tithes and offerings to the support of evangelists and missionaries who are God-called and willing to leave the comfort of their own homes and their “warm in winter/cool in summer” local churches and go into some of the most seemingly God-forsaken places on this planet to fulfill Jesus’s commandment?
ORGANISED RELIGION
During His life on this Earth, especially the three+ years of His Earthly ministry, Jesus initiated the manner of behavior that should be the center of every Christian’s life:
He always spoke only what His Father said, He always did only what He saw His Father do and His prayer was always to His Father, “Not my will but thy will be done”. He proved the spiritual nature of His existence by His God-centered actions. Until and unless this becomes the behavior of the Body of Christ on this Earth, the problems we believe we have solved by electing Donald Trump to be the 47th POTUS will not only NOT be solved, they will grow worse.
It is now time, after the arduous campaign season, to realize what must be done by the Body of Christ to help POTUS Trump Make America Great Again. As I stated earlier in this article:
“I must advise the reader to not expect something from President Trump that he cannot deliver on his own”.
It is now up to the Body of Christ to follow the teachings of God, given to the Apostle Paul through the Holy Spirit and recorded in Paul’s first letter to Timothy: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:1-4). Please note that the intent of this exhortation to Timothy was “not to make any nation great again”, but to further the commandment of Jesus to His Body, that is the deliverance to the world the good news, the gospel of Jesus Christ that all men might come to the knowledge of the truth (Jesus IS the way, the TRUTH and the Life).
While Donald Trump is a skilled dealmaker who is way more intelligent than he sounds when speaking, the actions needed to Make America Great Again, will NOT be the actions of Donald Trump alone. The Body of Christ, here in our own nation and around the world, being obedient to God, holding our President up in daily prayer, truly can accomplish what Trump alone cannot. The actions of the Church can bring about a massive revival of the sleeping, lazy Church and that revival will bring a new level of glory and greatness to America and indeed the world.
If the Church, the Body of Christ, truly follows this teaching, praying daily for our President, for His safety and the safety of his family, and for God to impart to him His own wisdom and knowledge, as well as to provide divine guidance in EVERY decision he makes as President, then and ONLY then, will we see the change needed in this country to fulfill God’s will for our nation and the means whereby, led by Almighty God, President Trump will be able to help Make America Great Again.
Pray saints for our newly elected POTUS, Donald J. Trump.
Blessings, and Maranatha!
