REPUBLICAN NIGHTMARE
I heard someone again this week fondly quoting Paul Keating’s admiration for China and the seeming success of her political system. Deary me, I quietly gave thanks that Australia remains a member of the British Commonwealth, with Queen Elizabeth the Second as Head of State. Even if the bahaviour of some of the Royals gives rise to misgivings.
Has Paul Keating no grasp of the awful human cost involved with the Chinese commercial success achieved by a Communist system.? He accused the Australian media for “pious belching” concerning their advocating caution in dealing with Beijing. China’s Communist party is intensifying religious persecution as Christianity’s popularity grows. A new state translation of the Bible will establish a ‘correct understanding’ of the text. So said a recent report about this oppressive regime. I shudder as I imagine what “correct understanding” might mean, and how many more citizens will be jailed for following the original teaching?
I urge my readers to read their Bibles and learn to follow the teachings therein. After all, it was the Lord Jesus who said: “The truth will set you free”(John 8:32). It would seem that Paul Keating’s dangerous inclination to worship this rogue regime is more likely to enslave you.
God Save the Queen!

Ah! The delights of China. Organ Harvesting. Religious Re-programming, spying on peoples private activities, curtailing free movement, being tracked from cradle to grave. No wonder Mr. Keating chooses to remain living in Australia.
A very astute observation, if I might say so Sydneysider! Never underestimate the capacity of these people for fulfilling the saying “do as O say, not as I do”. Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
Dear Chugley. I will take the “esteemed past Prime Minister’s” comments as the ramblings of a very disillusioned being, unless he immigrates to China !
That is about the gist of it Milton, maybe collecting all those clocks drove him nuts? Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
