With catastrophic events happening worldwide each day, even many unbelievers are asking if we are living in the last days. According to the Scriptures, the “last days” began with the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave, and they will end with His return to the earth as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. That will be the “Day of the Lord.”

 In our next sermon in this series, “God’s Unfolding Drama of Redemption,” we will look at “The Two Events That Precede the Day of the Lord.”

Pastor Wayne does an outstanding job of rounding up current world events and connecting them with Biblical prophecies. I do recommend printing these notes off to read at your leisure, it is well worth the 20 or so sheets of paper and some ink.

As you read the attached collection of news reports and analysis, notice how they describe the culture of the world Jesus said would indicate the nearness of His return – deception, disloyalty, delusion, defection, disease, and disaster. However, these are just the precursors of the days ahead. Rather than getting angry over them, we need to be much in prayer for those affected by them, and we also need to realize God is using them to draw people to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Let’s prepare to share the real reason for the HOPE that is within us. Please feel free to forward this document on to those you think might be interested! PW

  1. What a timely and well prepared message for all who are looking forward to and be equipped for the progression of the end times events. Teaching the order of events, to be prepared to expect the events to unfold and how to be included in being lifted up before the tribulation. See how world events are prophesied in scripture thousands of years ago and the world is heading toward the return of Jesus. Important teaching! Compelling listening!
