PASTOR WAYNE WRITES:
Dear Heritage Family,
The first Passover occurred on the 14th of Nisan, 1451 B.C. Jesus of Nazareth was crucified on the 14th of Nisan in 32 A.D., fulfilling the illustration of the Passover.
· At the same hour the Jewish priests began to slaughter over 250,000 lambs in memorial to the way God redeemed their forefathers from Egyptian slavery, Roman soldiers began to crucify Jesus of Nazareth as God’s way of redeeming us from our sins.
· At the same hour the High Priest slaughtered the last lamb and cried out, “It is finished,” the Lord Jesus, our High Priest gave up His Spirit and cried out, “It is finished.”
· While the Jews still celebrate Passover just as they have done for 3500 years, as Christians, we celebrate Passover as the day God redeemed us from our sin and assured us of our home with Him in heaven.
We will explain this further in our next sermon, “The Feast of Passover, which is based on our study of Leviticus 23, and Exodus 12.

INTRODUCTION TO LATEST NEWS CLIPS
My Fellow Watchmen,
The late conservative journalist and pundit Charles Krauthammer said once, “We are living at a time when truth doesn’t matter.” I cannot help but wonder what Krauthammer would say about the lack of honesty in journalism today.
The truth is, we now live in the days described by the prophet Isaiah: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20) We continue to see this, not only in the news media, or in the political arena, but also in the liberal nonsense coming from today’s pulpits. To quote from an article by Jim Fletcher: “It’s an incremental thing. Liberal theology of the last century morphed into full-blown apostasy.” We are there!
Three warnings from the Apostle Paul:
· And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
(2 Thessalonians 2:10)
· And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.
(2 Thessalonians 2:11)
· That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
(2 Thessalonians 2:12)
Never in my lifetime have we had a greater battle between good and evil than we are now witnessing. Either Lord Jesus is coming soon, or this battle will intensify before His coming.
