Revival Gospel Singers

Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” NIV

What is now known as the Revival Gospel Singers was commenced by Alan & Margaret Dobson under the covering of Revival Life Centre Sydney Australia. It was 1994 and Alan & Margaret came to a new church. Having had some previous experience in ministry to nursing homes they spoke to the Senior Pastor, Norman Armstrong, about commencing their ministry under the covering of the church. There was an immediate blessing and encouragement to commence. Alan & Margaret faithfully pursued their evangelistic outreach ministry for over 25 years. Bringing in thousands of people to the Kingdom of God over the years. It was a good and fruitful ministry, being a salvation for the people and a satisfying blessing to the team members.  A wonderful work for The Lord.

The ministry was such a blessing to the residents of the homes that it just had to be continued. The current leader sought and was encouraged to continue the work of the ministry. This was done with enthusiasm and continuity was achieved.

By this time the government had changed the name from nursing homes to Aged Care Homes. The name Aged Care Home Ministry did not convey the purpose of the ministry or what was being done.

A new name Revival Gospel Singers with a catchline of “Songs that you know. A message that saves” accurately describes what we do and what our purpose is. It is being well received and accepted in the homes that are visited.

The people that we minister to are quite often not very mobile or confined to chairs in their daily life. The team make visits to the aged care homes and go into the day rooms or lounges to bring joy and messages of hope to the people.

The format that is used in the homes is nearly the same as the recordings that we do. Song, prayer bible reading together with special biblical messages to introduce some songs.
