Moses Ain’t Coming to Deliver the United States – or Australia
I am most pleased to publish another article from our very experienced friend Bud Hancock in America. (A bit late this morning, some tech problem). Be sure to read his biography at the end. This article explains in vivid terms how the slavery of Israel in Egypt foreshadows what is happening in America and Australia. Humans are so persistently stupid – history repeats!

Moses Ain’t Coming to Deliver the United States
By Bud Hancock
Introduction
The point of this article is to explain how the Israelites, the offspring of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, began their sojourn of several hundred years in Egypt at the ‘special invitation’ of Pharaoh, but who, over time, became slaves in Egypt.
The Jewish people were treated so badly while in slavery that they cried out to God for relief and their freedom and were close to giving up.
They longed to be the people that God had planned them to be but they had no idea that the person God would send to them as their deliverer was Moses, one of their own who had been secreted away by his Jewish mother to save his life when Pharoah was trying to kill any Jewish male children who would be the one sent to free the Jews. Being found by the daughter of Pharoah, he was adopted by her and was raised in the royal household. No Jewish person in Egypt would have believed that Moses would be the man sent to deliver Israel.
From Freedom to Slavery
Every true Christian believer, and certainly every Jewish person, should know the history of the descendants of Abraham. He was the man chosen by God to father the people from whom would come the one person He mentioned in Genesis 3:15, ‘the seed of the woman’. Abraham passed the family blessing to his son Isaac shortly before his death and then was buried in the land of Canaan.
Isaac had two sons who were twins, Esau the elder and Jacob the younger, but Esau, after a long day of hunting, being hungry and shortsightedly disregarding his birthright, sold it to his younger brother, Jacob, for a bowl of soup. When Isaac was old and ready to die, even though Esau had despised his birthright, Isaac would still have given the blessing to Esau, but Jacob and his mother deceived Isaac who was nearly blind and the blessing of Isaac passed to Jacob.
Jacob fathered twelve sons, besides daughters, but he favored one of his sons, Joseph, more than all the others. Joseph’s brothers, who were very jealous of Jacob’s love for Joseph, hatched a plan to kidnap Joseph and sell him to traveling merchants. The plan was successful and Joseph ended up being a slave in Egypt. But God was with him and blessed Joseph with great discernment and wisdom.
Through God’s wisdom, Joseph interpreted a dream for Pharaoh that predicted a seven year famine throughout the land and God gave Joseph a plan to save Egypt. Joseph, again through God’s wisdom, convinced Pharoah to produce as much food as possible in the seven years of plenty to store up in preparation for the famine, thus saving the people of Egypt.
These Godly gifts allowed Joseph to become the second-most powerful man in Egypt, only exceeded in power by the Egyptian king, Pharoah.
When Jacob’s sons were grown men, the predicted famine occurred, food was scarce and people throughout the area od Canaan were starving. Jacob, whom God had renamed Israel, sent some of his sons to Egypt to buy food. There, they encountered their brother, Joseph, who still loved them and forgave them their treachery against him. Joseph sent his brothers back to Jacob/Israel instructing them to return with their father, Jacob, and all his family and possessions.
Eventually, the family reunion was completed when Jacob, now a very old man of 130 years, traveled to Egypt with all his family and all his possessions, there to live out the rest of his days in the land of Goshen. At Pharoah’s command, they were given special consideration as the family of Joseph and they ended up staying for more than 200 years.
Sadly, the Pharoah who invited them to Egypt died and was succeeded by another who neither knew Jacob, nor cared anything about Joseph or his family. He enslaved the Israelite people and made life very hard for them. But, when the time allotted for them to depart Egypt as free people came, God’s deliverer was there, the flawed man, Moses, sent back to Egypt by God to demand their release and freedom from Pharoah.
Before he fled from Egypt after killing an Egyptian soldier, Moses, had recognized the plight of his blood people, the enslaved and mistreated Jews, and was eyewitness to the terrible burdens placed on his people. Though Moses was considered a member of the royal Egyptian court, He was sympathetic to their cause but was restrained from interfering with Pharoah’s policy toward the Jewish slaves. He became angered when he saw an Egyptian severely mistreating a Jew and Moses killed the man. In fear for his life, if he were to be found out, he fled Egypt and gave up his royal standing.
After forty years passed, he was approached by God (The Burning Bush) and told to return to Egypt and demand that Pharoah release the Jews from their slavery. Moses, the flawed man and stutterer, speaking through his brother Aaron, delivered God’s demands to the Egyptian king, who resisted all of them outright, refusing to release the Israelites. Pharaoh was having none of God’s demands and proceeded to make matters even worse for the Jewish slaves. Resistance to God’s plan was severe and that resistance eventually cost Pharoah his entire army, not to mention the damage done to his nation and his Egyptian citizens.
Finally, after God, through Moses sent the ten plagues that nearly decimated Egypt, Pharoah agreed to free them and they began their 40 year plus journey to their ‘promised land’.
Israel and the United States
Now, fast forward to our present time and consider the comparison of America to Israel. But wait a minute you might say. Americans are not enslaved by anyone, right? So how can the US be compared to early Israel? Well, if your premise is that being enslaved means having no freedom to move about without constraint, no freedom to work for a living and earn as much as possible, no freedom to worship our God, then a case can be made that no ‘physical slavery’ exists for Americans. However, there are other ways to be enslaved that are even more deadly and destructive than physical slavery.
Freedom From Spiritual Slavery
Through many years of a moral decline in America, the nation began to deteriorate physically, mentally, culturally, economically and intellectually. All the problems that sent America on its downward spiral, were spiritual in nature and most of the problems were caused by a seriously flawed dependence on politics and politicians. Those problems led to a condition of spiritual slavery for millions of Americans, including many Christians. Mature Christians should have been wise enough to see what was happening and should have prayed that these problems would be addressed by God’s spokesmen from America’s pulpits.
Indeed many of the pastors of America’s largest “Mega-churches” became more involved in the political process that they were in delivering God’s word. They were, and many still are, trying to affect change through politics, and IT WILL NOT WORK. There is no political solution to a spiritual problem, and the problems now destroying America are indeed spiritual in nature.
Every person born into this life is born into spiritual slavery. Until a person recognizes that fact, repents of sin and receives Jesus and His sacrificial act, that spiritual slavery continues its hold on every person. It takes a work of the Holy Spirit to convict a person of his or her sin and move them to a place where they can see their enslaved condition and seek relief from it. At that point, the enslaved soul, earnestly desiring to be free from sin cries out, as did the Jewish people in Egypt, for a deliverer to come into his life and bring spiritual freedom.
God, Who is faithful, always answers that cry for freedom and provides for complete liberty through the acceptance of Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
In the past ten to fifteen years, many Americans who recognized what was happening to the country, were praying that God would send a man to restore the nation to its former greatness. In 2016, many of those believed that Donald J. Trump was THAT man. Trump campaigned for president on the slogan, Make America Great Again (MAGA), among other slogans and promises. He entered the White House after the November 2016 election, and almost immediately began to speak about ‘draining the swamp’ which was, and still is, DC politics. Though he obviously had good intentions, he seems to have relied on his own ‘human wisdom’ and that of others who were secretly members in good standing of the DC swamp. Their advice to Trump caused him to make many errors in judgment, adding even more snakes to his cabinet and eventually those snakes got their fangs into him and his presidential days were numbered.
It became obvious that Trump was NOT to be the much awaited ‘deliverer’ of the United States. In fact, as he left office, his legacy was one of having surrendered to the Big Pharma powers, having locked down our nation due to a flu-like virus and having approved a so-called vaccine using his presidential power to authorize a “Warp Speed” program to get those vaccines out to the US public and the entire world in record time.
Had Donald Trump been a true ‘man of God’, a true “Moses”, he would have emulated Moses and relied on the wisdom of God and the power of God to help guide him in all his decisions as POTUS. Instead, he, like nearly all of his White House predecessors, refused to give God all glory for his successes and instead constantly proclaimed, “I did this”, or “I did that”, or “Look at how many people love me” or “No one has ever done this much” and as a result, God was neglected in the race to “Make America Great Again”.
Though many Americans, as well as many around the world, had truly hoped that Trump could restore America’s greatness, they failed to realize that NO MAN made America great to begin with. It was God’s providence and blessings that accomplished this, and failure to glorify God for HIS accomplishments is a serious error in judgment.
Conclusion
Now in the second year of the administration of the man who followed Trump into the White House, it has become painfully obvious that the problems left behind by Trump have worsened existentially. The economy is in a shambles, millions of small businesses have closed and people are giving up looking for work. Inflation is rampant, shortages of nearly all necessities are increasing and the American people, just as did the Jews in Egypt are giving up. Nothing that could possibly affect positive change appears to be coming from our pulpits.
Even though many still have this insane notion that America is the apple of God’s eye’, nothing could be further from the truth. And unlike the Jews who were enslaved in Egypt, those spiritual slaves in America do NOT have the promise of a deliverer arriving on the scene to “Make America Great Again”. For those who believe America’s problems will be solved by a Republican Party sweep in the 2022 mid-term elections, and then looking for an even more massive change in the 2024 POTUS election, I have news for you: All politicians, regardless of party affiliation, who reach the US congress and the White House either are, or soon will become, lifelong members of the same swamp that Trump promised to drain. These swamp critters all make ‘political promises’, hoping to deceive and delude Americans, who are looking for some kind of ‘security’, into believing they can solve their problems. If you are one of these people, let me remind you of the words of Harry Browne, two-time candidate for POTUS: “For those looking for security, be forewarned that there’s nothing more insecure than a political promise”.
As much as it would please me to be able to say, “Hey! Just wait until the mid-terms and 2024, Help is on the way!”, I will close this article with these words: “Moses AIN’T coming to Deliver the United States”. It is time to put all your trust and faith in Almighty God and NOT in any man: Time is Short.
