MODERN MAYHEM

I notice the endless stream of mindless human children passing my cage mesmerised by their telephones. I heard one exclaim recently, “I have seven hundred friends on Facebook”.

Funny sort of friendships, I venture to comment! It annoys me because they take no notice of my antics and gibbering at all!  Might as well save the zoo entry fee!

It even recalls the words of the Immortal Bard as he describes the whining school-boy with his “shining morning face, creeping like snail unwillingly to school”. What would he have penned about the modern slothful young? Progress?  Not that I would notice….but what would a funny old Chimp know?
