Dear Heritage Family and Friends,
Years ago, my dear friends, Ron & Patrica Owens wrote and published a great song entitled, “Touch Not the Glory”:
- Have you been called to serve where others tried and failed, and with God’s help and strength, your efforts have prevailed? Touch not the glory, for it belongs to God.
- Have you some special gift, some riches you can share, or are you called of God to intercessory prayer? Touch not the glory; for it belongs to God.
- Has God appointed you to some great noble cause, or put you where you hear the sound of man’s applause? Touch not the glory, for it belongs to God.
One of the life lessons I hope we are learning from our study of the Book of Joshua is that all the praise and glory for what He does through His people belongs to Him and Him alone. When we puff out our chests as if we had accomplished some incredible feat, we’ve just opened up our souls to Satan’s deception and defeat.
Even after experiencing victory after victory, even Joshua did not “check” with God before making a decision; he was deceived into making a treaty with those whom the Lord had told him to destroy because of the depth of their wickedness.

THE WATCHMEN’S REPORT

My Fellow Watchmen,
Whether you align with his political views or his interpretation of Christianity, we can all draw inspiration from the courage of our fellow Christian, Charlie Kirk. He was martyred for fearlessly proclaiming his faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord, and for articulating his commitment to a biblical worldview on all the moral issues. Despite knowing that some wished to end his life, he stood firm in his beliefs, never wavering.
However, the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s martyrdom and the subsequent memorial service have brought the battle lines into sharp focus.
· On one side, we have those who stand with God, law and order, respect for marriage and the family, basic morality, individual freedom, and free speech.
· On the other side, we have those who embrace godlessness, an antiChrist spirit, rampant lawlessness, disrespect for the divine institution of marriage and the family, and a concerted effort to suppress any speech that contradicts their worldview.
So, the battle lines are drawn and clearly pronounced.
· President Trump rightly hailed Charlie Kirk as a man of faith who sacrificed his life for his country, for freedom of speech, and for the America we cherish. Erika Kirk, Charlie’s widow, not only forgave the young man who took her husband’s life but also declared that his mission of faith and freedom would not only endure but also grow. And indeed, it has. The movement to establish a Turning Point group in every high school in the U.S. is a testament to the expansion of Charlie’s mission.
· Representatives Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Charlie’s vision of life was filled with “hate” and “rage-baiting,” (whatever that is), and his beliefs were “ignorant, uneducated, and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans.”
However, what ought to shake us to the core is that a Christian was martyred in America (just let that sink in a moment), and some “pastors” were too scared even to mention it, much less call their congregations to pray for his family. So much for their God-given assignment to prepare those under their watch for the coming persecution of all believers!
Likewise, more people heard the gospel that one day than at any other time in the history of the Church, but most denominational publications never addressed it. When the final count comes in, the number of people who viewed Charlie’s memorial, and therefore, heard the clear presentation of the gospel, at least three times, will be in the hundreds of millions around the world, but since it didn’t happen “in and through their petty programs,” it doesn’t count.
Beloved, in Matthew 12:34, Jesus said, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks,” or doesn’t speak! Yes, the lines in the sand have been drawn, not only in the culture war but also in the Church. The Church’s silence is deafening. The Apostasy is here, which means the arrival of the Antichrist is near!
