PASTOR WAYNE WRITES:
September 19, 2025
Dear Heritage Family and Friends,
In Genesis 12:5-9, the Bible says, when Abram first came to the land of Canaan, he “passed through the place of Shechem, and pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and AI on the east, and there he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.” This became a significant place of worship for the Israelites when they returned to the land.
“Bethel” means “house of God,” a place of fellowship with God. “AI” means “heap of ruins,” which represents the world and its attractions. That’s where God’s people are standing today, doing all we can to maintain our relationship with God while very much aware of the threat of the world’s influence.
The good news is, when we, as Christians, discover that we have allowed the attractions of the world to draw us away from our intimacy with God, we need to STOP, return to our “Bethel,” that place where we had that first encounter with the Lord and we received Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, and do whatever we have to do to restore our relationship with God. In genuine repentance, we climb back up on that altar and leave behind those things that we allowed to become more important to us than God – our possessions, our worldly ambitions, and those unhealthy relationships.
In this sermon, Joshua instructed the Israelites to walk 30 miles from Gilgal to the place where Abraham had built an altar and worshipped God some 500 years earlier. Joshua challenged them to renew their trust in and their commitment to God. Do you need to return to your Bethel?

THE WATCHMEN’S REPORT
September 20, 2025
My Fellow Watchmen,
While I’m not PREDICTING that the RAPTURE will occur next week during the Feast of Trumpets, because it is a signless event, it could happen before I finish this article, and whenever it does happen, it will be the fulfillment of the Feast of Trumpets. However, in case the rapture does happen, I’ve posted this note on our refrigerator.
Dear Friends,
If I am not on earth, please know the rapture has occurred and you have been left behind, and I am so sorry!
I am not missing – I am in the presence of my Lord, and by God’s grace I will dwell with Him forever!
While it will be difficult for you to survive, it is not too late for you to be saved, and I urge you to put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior.
· Read Romans 3:23, and Romans 6:23
o Admit that you are a sinner and realize you cannot save yourself by your good works or religious zeal. Read John 3:15 and Romans 5:8
o By faith alone, believe that Jesus was Who He said He was, and that He did what He said He did, for the reason He said He did it, and that He did it for you. Read Romans 10:1-13
o Call upon the name of the Lord, and TRUST Him by faith to be your Savior. Read Revelation 14:9-11
· Whatever you do, DO NOT take the Mark of the Beast, for if you do, you will be damned forever. It would be better to struggle for a few years, and even die of starvation, than to suffer for all eternity.
o Since you will probably be martyred for your faith in Christ, do not fear death, for it is the doorway into everlasting life.
o Run, hide, abandon all means of technology, for it will be used to track you down and force you into compliance.
o Develop a community of fellow-believers for help and protection.
· However, do not put your trust in any denomination of organized religion.
o There will be a great harvest of souls after the Rapture (Revelation 7:9-14, Revelation 11, Isaiah 26:9, Revelation 14:6).
o Some will repent once they see their loved ones missing and they finally realize the results of their unbelief.
o Others will receive the gospel message from the 144,000 Jewish witnesses or the two witnesses in Jerusalem, or the angel of God who takes the gospel to the end of the world.
· If, by God’s grace, you survive the next seven years, you will enter into the Millennial Kingdom, and the days of your life will be lengthened. I look forward to seeing you there! The first step is to fall on your knees and cry out unto the Lord for His Help! He will hear you.
