IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL
“It Is Well With My Soul” was written in 1873 b Horatio Spafford, a Chicago lawyer and devout Christian, after losing his four daughters in a tragic Atlantic shipwreck. just two years after the Great Chicago Fire destroyed his fortune. While sailing to meet his surviving wife, Anna, Spafford penned the lyrics upon passing the spot where his children perished.
There are some other great old hymns that follow.
