Is The United Nations Truly A “United” Organization?

Readers from time to time question why I publish a lot of information on Israel. Quite simply Israel is God’s time piece, as well as being the Apple of His Eye. Zech 2:8 “For thus saith the Lord of hosts: “After the glory hath He sent me unto the nations which despoiled you, for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of His eye”. Many people ignore such Scriptures, which irrefutably state that Israel is God’s chosen Nation, not that is yet perfect, God is still perfecting His people. These “replacement theoreticians” think they know better, and subscribe to the apostate theory of “replacement theology”. This simply means that they consider that the Church is now Israel, and God, who never changes, nor breaks His promises, has discarded His chosen people. Much torture has to be done to Holy Scripture to argue the case for Israel being discarded. However it is a dangerous lie. Read, mark, learn and inwardly digest: Genesis 12:3: “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed”. Even a monkey can grasp what this means…..

Is The United Nations Truly A “United” Organization?
By Bud Hancock
Is the United Nations Truly “United”? Yes, they certainly are, but NOT in the way you might think.
Background of the UN
The United Nations was formed on October 24, 1945, shortly after the conclusion of WW2, as a replacement for The League of Nations, an organization originally founded in 1920, shortly after the end of WW1, to “maintain world peace”. The League of Nations, which during its existence was seldom successful at “maintaining peace” basically ended with the conclusion of WW2.
For almost the entirety of both organizations lifespans, they were politically driven, making any true peace maintenance extremely difficult. Since most wars, whether on a local level or on a world-wide scale, are the result of political disagreements between nations, any hope that either would ever produce any lasting peace was more wishful thinking than a true belief in that possibility.
The Brilliant, but evil, strategy used by the founders of the UN in naming it “The United Nations” has caused many throughout the world to actually rely on that organization for making and maintaining peace, even though the world is more divided now than even before the two world wars that supposedly brought them into existence. All that is needed to see this international division is to read the words printed on almost any newspaper or blogpost that discusses the political and cultural upheaval existing in almost every nation on Earth. So how does the UN continue to get public support from the hundreds of millions of people whose lives are affected by the lack of any true “peace”, or even any “union”?

We are now living in the time that Jesus Himself discussed openly with His disciples and was recorded in Matthew 24, the signs of the end times, commonly known as the Olivet Discourse. Jesus said there would be “wars and rumors of wars, with nation rising against nation, kingdom against kingdom, famines, pestilences and earthquakes in diverse (various) places.” That proclamation describes, not a world living in peace, but a world in complete turmoil, conflict and chaos. Jesus said these signs were “the beginning of sorrows”. Believers should not be dismayed by what we are seeing happen in the geopolitical arenas around the world, since Jesus said these events would occur. What is necessary is to understand our role as the events do occur.
The UN As A Peacemaker/Peacekeeper

Even though a few instances of the UN acting in the capacity of a peacemaker or more likely a “peacekeeper” can be found, it appears that the major role of the UN is to threaten those nations that do not kowtow to the UN line. The UN General Assembly has become a place where the disgruntled masses can pitch their discontent to the other disgruntled nations of the World. While the decisions made by the representatives of 193 members of the General Assembly are merely recommendations and are not binding on the member states, they do have great propaganda value and are used as such by the members and the media in their particular states, and sometimes on the World stage. With so many cultures and ethnic groups represented at the General Assembly meetings, it is a miracle if a consensus can ever be reached on any international argument.
I have watched the so-called “United Nations” throughout the years since my childhood and have yet to see any concrete results from the billions of words that are spoken there when the GA is in session. It appears that the UN is merely the World’s largest debate stage, where each member nation gets to air its gripes against other member nations. Since any positive outcome is fleeting at best, the cost of such an expensive stage, with a 2025 budget of $3.72 billion, makes one wonder who, if anyone, is truly benefitting from all that debate. By the way, that massive $3.72 billion budget includes the hundreds of millions of dollars that member states pay for their representatives to travel to New York City and stay in some of the most expensive temporary housing (usually 5 star hotels) in the World. That means that those nations that contribute to most in support of the massive UN budget, namely the US and the UK, are “privileged” to pay for the travel of the less successful member states; I don’t know about you, but that certainly gives me a “warm and fuzzy” feeling, knowing I am contributing more than my share to host some of the hundreds of representatives (great debaters) to a lavish stay in NYC.
So, is there any sense in which the 193 member states are truly “united”? As I stated at the beginning of this article, yes, but NOT in any positive way.
Historically, since May 14, 1948, the date the modern state of Israel was formed, that tiny Jewish state has done more to unite the United Nations member states than any other member state or even any non-member state on Earth. That sounds like a great accomplishment on behalf of Israel, doesn’t it? Do not get too excited just yet.

Being the small nation that brings more “united-ness” to the UN is not something that Israel ever wanted, or deserved. They just want to be recognized as a democratic and sovereign nation, the world’s only Jewish state, among the nations of the world. But the opposite seems to have occurred; of the 193 member nations of the UN, 147 of them have stated their desire to recognize a Palestinian state, a move that is in direct opposition to Israel’s desire to be seen a a sovereign Jewish nation.
Israel has every right, actually a greater right, to this recognition than any other nation that has ever existed. Being the only nation chosen by, named by, and guaranteed a specific land mass by God, their right is non-negotiable and irreversible, no matter what all 193 members of the United Nations say.
However, the recognition they get is anything but. No matter which nation among their Arab neighbors (300 million strong) voices any complaint about their state in life, their argument almost always seems to point a finger of blame towards Israel. Unfortunately, more often than not, a majority of those 193 UN member nations find some way to agree with them and thus “unite” in their disdain for, and hatred of, Israel. When the General Assembly, and sometimes the Security Council, issues their proclamations on issues, some of which include decisions denouncing Israel, the entire World (save a few still somewhat moral countries) just quietly go along and “unite” in their blame of Israel for every ill that can be imagined.

What they seem to conclude is that, until Israel goes along with their many plans to award statehood to Israel’s enemies, true peace will remain elusive. Somehow, in their twisted way, they believe that forcing Israel to give up even more land* to appease the 300 million Jew-hating neighbors surrounding her, you know, those neighbors who have sworn to eliminate Israel from the planet, will surely bring about that ever-elusive peace. We are now about to witness another display of the Jew-hatred that has become the hallmark of the United Nations organization.
*I say “even more land” since the original amount of land designated by the British a a result of the Balfour Declaration, was reduced multiple times in favor of the many Arab groups in the Middle East. Since her modern founding in 1948, Israel has yet to fully inherit the totality of the land designated to them, not by the British, but by God.
Those poor deluded souls at the United Nations, particularly those nations (The United Kingdom, France, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Finland, and others) that recently announced their intention to “recognize a Palestinian state” at the UN General Assembly meeting in New York on September 8, 2025, are either misguided, illiterate or intentionally stupid. In order for anything to be “recognized”, it must meet certain criteria.
The word “recognize” means:
To know to be something that has been perceived before
To know or identify from past experience or knowledge
To perceive or show acceptance of the validity of an object as being true, legal or important
Since there has NEVER been a state known as Palestine, it becomes painfully obvious that the leaders of the nations who are now clamoring about their “recognition” of a Palestinian state are, in reality, deciding to “create” a Palestinian state, exactly in the place where a valid state currently exists: Israel. In spite of the multiple warnings given by God to “not mess with the land” given to Israel by Jehovah, these ”united nations” seem hellbent on creating, not only a “never before existed” Palestinian state, but the perfect setting for God to show the entire World just Who He really IS. When that day arrives, all the so-called United Nations will instantly become “disunited” and flee for the hills, hoping to hide their faces from the furious anger of a righteous and all-powerful God.
While the name of the organizations says, “United Nations”, it is true only in the sense that most of the member nations are “united” in their opposition to the very existence of Israel. Their utter foolishness in taking such a “united” stance will certainly be their eternal undoing.
