I am delighted to welcome Bud Hancock back to my Blog. Bud gives us his vivid insights into how the arrival of the King of Kings will be, eclipsing all earthly coronations.

From Inauguration to Coronation
By Bud Hancock
On June 2, 1953, I watched the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, broadcast from, Westminster Abbey in London, England, and, Wow!, what a spectacle. The rich and famous, the Lords and Ladies, other members of the Royal Family, the members of the British Parliament, along with the Royal Guard in their beautiful uniforms, standing rock solid still, not moving a muscle or seemingly blinking an eye; it was truly a sight to behold, unforgettable. All were there to honor the new Queen and show their support for her reign as Queen of England.
And On January 20, 2025, I watched the inauguration of POTUS Donald John Trump, 47th President of the United States, and marveled at the parade of the rich and famous, the politically powerful and connected, along with several thousand less important and far less wealthy and famous “average” people around and outside the Capitol Building, along with millions of everyday Americans and people from around the World watching on TV. Of course, all were there to support the President, (of course, wink wink, of course).
As they all strode into the Capitol Rotunda, and took their places of honor, awaiting the arrival of the President-elect, all hoping to get a glimpse of Trump, possibly a photo op with him, or a handshake or some other acknowledgement from him, and with all this “pomp and circumstance” occurring, I thought it was quite a wonderful spectacle, really something great and grand to behold. It seemed the entire nation, indeed most of the world, was beholding the amazing comeback of a man whom they had decided was all done, based on his failure to return to the White House in January of 2021. But, indeed, it seems they had all underestimated the staying power of a man like Donald Trump, who amazed the world by returning back to the pinnacle of American politics; the Presidency of the United States after an absence of four years.
Watching the unfolding of the swearing-in of both President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, made me think of all the previous such ceremonies, many of which I had observed on TV, that inaugurated the administration of each of the previous presidents. Many of them were accompanied by long parades with marching bands and celebrities, all hoping for their “moment in the limelight”.
But then, all the hoopla was soon over and most of the witnesses went back to their normal lives, likely already forgetting the grandeur they had just witnessed. After all the speeches, the promises of wonderful deeds to be done by the new POTUS and by all those who had been appointed to offices of great importance, I thought how it seemed like kind of a letdown that all the great flowing and eloquent words were over and now all anyone can do is to wait and hope that good things would be happening under the administration of a new POTUS. And, if those things do not materialize, then we will be, once again, waiting for another inauguration, and, once again accompanied by all the pomp and circumstance, all the speeches and honors being given and received. It seems like life is merely a repeat of the history that led up to this particular event. Ho hum.
But then, in the middle of all the celebrations as the new President was welcomed back into his office at the White House, I began to envision a future gathering wherein a much more important and powerful leader than Donald J. Trump would be arriving at his place of honor. That arrival will culminate in the return of a man who has not set foot on this planet for nearly 2000 years, returning after having accomplished what no other human being ever could: dying on a cross and returning to life after three days in a grave. The person I am referring to is, of course, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the King of the Universe, no longer a Lamb of God, but the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the all-powerful reigning King of Kings. But, no one there will be trying to get a glimpse of him and receive some touch or acknowledgement. Rather, when He appears at that gathering, we are told: “For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God” (Romans 14:11-12).
His arrival will begin His rightful, and righteous, reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, to the glory of God, and will usher in a thousand years of perfect peace and tranquility on this planet.
Much has been said about Trump’s amazing “comeback” and the impact it has on the whole World, but it will be nothing compared to the impact of the arrival of our Lord and Savior, the man Christ Jesus. He is returning to claim His rightful place here on this Earth after an absence of nearly 2000 years during which time His very existence had been written off and His first appearance denounced as that of a phony, a charlatan who claimed to be something that they knew was surely impossible: God in a man’s body. All the World will witness the greatest comeback in the history of mankind.
So, if you Are a believer in Jesus Christ, I have some wonderful news for you: The greatest celebration of all time will occur at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and you will have a seat with clear sight of the Honoree.
The occasion of his glorious return will cause any past gatherings or celebrations on this Earth to pale in comparison, whether presidential inaugurations or royal coronations. As glorious as was the event that took place on January 20, 2025, in the United States Capitol Rotunda, that soon-coming day in Jerusalem will be the most historic day since time began, and personally, I cannot wait to see it. And, the best part is that it will NEVER be followed by another such gathering, since the Honoree will be taking His rightful place in control of His government, the new and eternal ruler of all the world, leader of the first-ever perfect government, of which there will be no end.
He will rule the world with a rod of iron and his agenda will once again bring perfection back to this planet.
Amen, and Blessings
Maranatha!
