FAREWELL PRINCE PHILIP
My Keeper, Algy, has very fond memories of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, visiting his old School, Uppingham In England. The 600 boys, aged between 13 and 18, had just returned to school after a bad ‘flu epidemic. The Prince opened his address to the assembled School by saying “Well’ I don’t know what to say to you lot!” which immediately broke the rather tense atmosphere, immediately endearing himself to staff and pupils for life.
Rowan Dean brilliantly summarises Prince Philip as an Outsider. Click on link above for story and some fond memories.

I’ll be interested to watch if the death of The Queen’s consort…and her beloved husband….might lead to the Queen abdicating her throne in coming months. The Duke’s passing might force her contemplation of her advanced years…her energy levels…and her motivation for any further royal duties. To me, the big question is “Will the Crown pass to Charles or to William”?
Yes, we’ll see. End times march on! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
