PASTOR WAYNE WRITES:
October 30, 2025
Dear Heritage Family and Friends,
Most Christians have trouble believing in God’s promises. They may sound nice and, for sure, they would certainly be helpful, but how do we obtain them?
- In Joshua 21:45, and again in Joshua 23:14-15, the prophet proclaimed, “Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.”
- In 1st Kings 8:5-6, Solomon declared, “Praise be to the Lord, who has given rest to His people, Israel, just as He promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant, Moses.”
- Charles Spurgeon said, “Do not treat God’s promises as if they were curiosities for a museum; but believe them and use them.”
Whatever need you have today, God has promised to meet it—simply take Him at His Word. So, I urge you, my brothers and sisters, to trust in His promises, believe in His Word, and see the miraculous ways in which He fulfills His promises in your life.

THE WATCHMEN’S REPORT
News Stories that Connect with Biblical Prophecy
By Wayne J. Edwards, October 29, 2025
My Fellow Watchmen,
“OH, THAT WE WOULD BE SHAPED MORE BY THE WORD OF GOD,
THAN ALL THE OTHER NOISES AROUND US.”
That quote is from an article by Dr. Michael Lyons, Associate Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew at my alma mater, Columbia International University, Columbia, S.C. Lyons continued:
“We are drowning in a sea of digital noise. YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Substack, Email, X, Podcasts, Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Disney, Audible, Spotify, Hoopla, Libby, News Sites, AI, and more. Algorithms increasingly shape what we listen to, what we watch, and what we think about. Endless scrolling on our phones imprisons us in constant distraction. The ambitions of the culture around us and the values that it professes and inhabits slowly demand allegiance of our minds and hearts. Yes, even Christians.”
Beloved, while some media outlets are more reliable than others, no single source is without bias – i.e., the news stories are slanted to “fit” the outlet’s worldview or political persuasion. News events are nuanced into “cultural context,” or to support the point of view of the owners/publishers of the media outlet. It is also essential to distinguish between a factual news report, an opinion/editorial piece, or an analysis of an event, which is, sadly, most of the “news” today.
For the last few days, I have looked at a NEW NEWS SITE called “The Pour Over” – a reliable source that provides a quick, factual, digest of the major events that have occurred within the last 24 hours, and a “heads-up” on the significant events that may affect our future. I read it in less than five minutes, but it is also available on a Podcast. You can check it out for yourself at: at:news@mail.thepourover.org
Due to some heavy traveling over the next few days, this will be this week’s last Watchmen’s News Report. However, I leave you with this thought that brought me to tears this morning. God has allowed the likes of us to SEE the signs of the times our forefathers only taught about, and our grandfathers and fathers only thought about. One of the devil’s deadly “D’s” is DISTRACTION. Please don’t let the NOISE of the news distract you from the JOYS of the news, and that is, we are one day closer to the Rapture of the Church.
Please forward these few articles to those you think might be interested.
