Dear Heritage Family,
There is a very dangerous teaching in the evangelical church today that says a person can be “born again,” and still continue to practice sin and still have the hope of heaven. They are saying a sinner may accept Jesus Christ as their Savior but never acknowledge Jesus as their lord.
This is false doctrine! First, it is impossible to be reborn by the Holy Spirit and not see immediate and lasting change in a person’s life, and to truly receive Jesus as our Savior IS to submit unto Him as our Lord. While God’s grace does allow us time to come to that conclusion, eventually every believer must confess Jesus as LORD!
We will explain this further in our sermon on Sunday, August 13 as we look at part two of: “Certain and Sure: The Essential Elements of a Confession of Faith.”

My Fellow Watchmen,
No one is more amazed than I am at the overwhelming response to my sermon on “The Truth of God’s Word VS. The Lies of Wokeism.” According to the statistics reported by YouTube, as of today, the sermon has received over 17K views, with over 500 “thumb’s up!” The written responses have been encouraging, and it seems God used that sermon to inspire other pastors to address the subject. Amen!!
The truth is, over the past few weeks, we have seen an overwhelming pushback against the “woke” movement, and there seems to be a conservative turn in our culture. I’ve always believed America to be a “Center-Right” society, and my view has been confirmed as average citizens are finally voicing their disgust and bravely disagreeing with the lies of wokeism.
Beloved, pressure is mounting, but we need to keep the pressure on through our daily prayers and our willingness to stand for nothing less than absolute truth. When the truth about the COVID-19 fiasco is finally revealed, many people will, at last, see how they have been, and are being deceived by our government, the medical community, the media, and those religious institutions that supported the hoax.
While we must control our verbal outbursts of anger and resist any kind of physical attacks against those with whom we vehemently disagree, we must be determined to do everything we can to deliver our nation from the lies of wokeism, for they are totally opposite from the absolute truth of God’s Word. At its core, wokeism is a war against everything God stands for, and anyone who stands with God’s Word.
In that regard, I urge pastors to rise up, parents to rise up, and all Bible-believing, God-fearing people to rise up against this evil spirit that is capturing our children’s minds with their lies and robbing them of the eternal value of their lives. However, cursing the darkness is of little value if we cower to shed the Light!
