I am pleased to say that Don Batten, CEO of Creation Ministries, reads my Blog and has corrected my last posting as follows: Carbon-14 has two extra neutrons compared to normal carbon (12), not electrons (it is formed from Nitrogen-14 by the action of cosmic rays in the upper atmosphere, where N, which has 7 protons, 7 electrons and 7 neutrons gets a proton+electron converted to a neutron, resulting in it having 6 protons and 6 electrons, which is the same as carbon, but with 8 neutrons instead of 6, making it unstable and hence radioactive).
