Pastor Wayne writes:
If the amount of persecution we endure is an indication of the depth of our righteousness, and therefore our relationship with Christ, what does the absence of persecution indicate? The fact is, the less the church is persecuted, the more unrighteous it becomes, and the more it adapts to the culture of the world, which describes the evangelical church today. The more the church is persecuted, the more it reveals the pure righteousness of Christ, and the more effective it is in its witness to the world.
We will explain this further in our next sermon in this series – “Behold the King: Life in the Kingdom of God # 6

Fellow Watchmen,
This collection of news stories begins with an article by Bill Koenig regarding the historical significance of the next 30-days. What we call “spring” was once celebrated as the beginning of a new year, and in the old days, it was also when “kings went off to war.” According to Koenig, the events of the next 30-days may determine what we can expect in the coming (natural) year, which means, we need to be watching for any signs of change.
As if on que, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in Israel this weekend, to meet with representatives of the Israeli government and the Palestinian Authority. Of course, his goal is to further the advancement of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In those meetings, Blinken will emphasize the importance of bolstering US-Palestinian ties and the advancement of freedom, security, and prosperity for the Palestinian people. Such talks have not worked out well for the United States in the past. If the pattern remains, be on watch for a major disaster to happen here at home, for God is not pleased with those who try to divide His land.
Please forward these articles to those you think might be interested in them!
