The Moon landing….one of those events in life when we all remember exactly where we were when watching this tremendous achievement unfold on TV.
I was working as an office clerk with the (then) NSW Dept Child Welfare, in an establishment for handicapped girls who were wards of the State. The establishment had its own Special school on site, so I took myself over to one of the classrooms to watch the landing on the classroom TV.
