RISE UP AUSTRALIA RALLY

31ST AUGUST 2025

Dear church and friends,

This post is probably going to cost me a few friends but I am obligated before God to shoot straight or not shoot at all. 

Our nation is in crisis, we are in serious trouble, even blind Freddy can see that. Tensions and pressure have risen to a point  where we are finally waking up from our complacency and our “she’ll be right” attitude. 

As a result, tens of thousands of good, decent patriotic Australians will gather together to rally for the sake of our nation in a week’s time, Sunday 31st August.

Sadly, I do not believe that any rally or protest will do any good as it is clear to me that Australia is under the judgment of God.

PLEASE, LET ME EXPLAIN

The Bible teaches that “righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34). 

Being on the tail end of the, now much despised, “boomer” generation, I can clearly remember singing “God Save the Queen” and praying the Lord’s Prayer at morning assembly, saying grace in the hat room before play lunch and the ministers of the local churches conducting Scripture classes every Wednesday.  All this happened in the state school system. 

Marriage was honoured, people didn’t simply “shack up” together and for children to be brought up outside of wedlock was hardly ever heard of.

Our parents and grandparents  spoke of God, King & country. There was a decency and  goodness in society that was deeply rooted in the Christian faith. Australia was a “Christian” nation.

This becomes easy to understand when you consider that their generation had come out of a season of two world wars. War brought death and every family had someone on a battlefield somewhere whether it be a father, son, husband, brother or uncle.  The Japanese bombed Darwin, midget submarines made it into Sydney harbour. Newcastle was shelled,  the Battle of the Coral Sea was just off the Queensland coast and battles were fought in New Guinea. 

When people are in peril, they pray, they turn to God.  Churches were full as people called out to God for mercy & protection of their loved ones. The churches that they attended actually pointed towards Jesus Christ, holiness and salvation.

WE WERE ONCE A RIGHTEOUS NATION BUT WE ARE NOW STEEPED IN SIN. 

The 1950s saw Australia enjoy one of the most prosperous times in our history. We had one of the highest standards of living per capita in the world.  The blessing we were under were no doubt a “riding on the coat tails” of the prayers and godliness of the previous years, but how quickly people forget God. One of the most frightening verses in the whole bible is found in Hosea 4:6 which basically says that  if you reject God, He will reject you and if you forget God, He will forget your children. These are sobering words indeed and we are seeing their fulfilment.

The post war good times and prosperity led into what was known as the sexual revolution. The 1960’s ended with Woodstock, free love and the drug culture leading us to the 1970’s where marriage was officially devalued, “no fault” divorce was introduced, “common law” or “de facto” relationships became socially acceptable and the holiness and sanctity of marriage further diluted by the institution of “civil celebrants”.

The downward spiral continued into the 1980s, homosexuality was decriminalised and ultimately same sex marriage written into law in 2017. Now we live in a world where madness prevails and many believe that there are no longer only two genders but a myriad to choose from and medical science is continuing Joseph Mengele’s diabolical work in the mutilation of our children through  sex reassignment surgery.

Pornography is prolific and our schools have become centres of indoctrination of the most ungodly, communistic and perverted ideals rather than places of learning.

I beg you to read Romans chapter 1, verses 18 to 32. These verses show us the pattern of moral decline. Where we stand right now is undeniable. The cost of forgetting God is horrendous and this is why I say that we are under God’s judgement.

THE JUDGEMENT OF GOD

God’s judgement comes in many ways. One manifestation of it is giving us the government we deserve. 

How can we explain the loss of prosperity of our nation which appears to be directly proportional to our moral decline and rejection of God?

As part of the judgement of God on this nation, I believe that our country is being deliberately sabotaged by corrupt politicians who have sold us out to a world government agenda which is absolutely satanic in nature. 

The government have opened our borders to a hoard of people who hold to a religious ideology that is totally incompatible with out Judeo/Christian heritage. This is a deliberate assault on what is left of  the fabric of our nation. Our government both Federally and on a state level have done nothing to kerb anti Semitism and everything to ignore the spread of radical islam. 

Politically, Australia is a laughing stock on the world stage, our Prime minister is an embarrassment and doesn’t even have the decency to marry the woman he is shacked up with.  Our current minister for foreign affairs is living a lifestyle that the Bible declares as perverse and is in a relationship which blasphemes God’s holy ordinance of marriage. I am reminded of the saying that when a clown takes the throne, he doesn’t become king but the palace becomes a circus.

WHERE IS THE CHURCH?

Broadly speaking, the church is missing in action, just as it was during  the Covid lock down era.  Instead of being the voice of righteousness and calling out this madness and debauchery, the institutional church has sold its soul to the government for 30 pieces of silver in the form of tax breaks and government grants. Church leaders are looking the other way rather than calling wickedness to account.

Our hope should be found in church as faithful ministers point towards the answer which is in Jesus Christ and Him alone, however, largely,  this is not the case. In so many ways the institutional church has denied Christ by appealing far more to the flesh than it does to the Spirit. Churches are compromised, sacrificing godly standards for political correctness and in some cases outright sinfulness and perversion.  

WHAT NOW?

We have to be real, there is no way we can legitimately expect God to bless or heal our apostate nation or to have mercy on it unless we sincerely turn from our wickedness and abandonment of Him in repentance.

We live in a time where people can look back and see when the blessing of God was on Australia and they want the benefits of the blessing of God that were once ours – but – they want it without obedience to and submission to the God from whom these blessings flow.

Therefore, our hope is not in ending immigration, deporting immigrants who commit crimes, stopping foreign ownership, or to rejecting the Paris Accord and net  zero.  Neither is it to get away from leftist ideals that are destroying the fabric of our society and return to “good, old fashioned standards” or having one flag instead of three. 

These things are simply symptoms of spiritual sickness, they are the fruit of the problem, not the root of it.

The answer is for us as a nation,  is for those who have rejected God to get on their knees and cry out to Him in true repentance.

WHEN WILL WE LEARN?

We must accept that there is no political answer to a spiritual problem, if there was we would have seen it by now. For all the rallies, and marches in the past we have achieved nothing. Our government has not listened and nor have they any intention to do so. In their blatant rejection of God they have set our nation on a trajectory that can only result in the continued judgement of God. 

Let’s be honest, we do not deserve God’s blessing as things stand. In His mercy He may well allow this nation to be plunged into a degree of suffering and peril so great that we have no option but to turn to Him and in doing so many may find salvation for their immortal souls because, at the end of the day, in the context of eternity,  that is all that really matters. If that is what it takes, then it is well with my soul.

IN CONCLUSION

Please do not think that I oppose next Sunday’s rallies, I have been to many similar over the ages. I am encouraged and glad to see fellow patriots stand up and voice their concerns and their desire to recover what once was and to preserve what remains. If I were not behind the pulpit  on that day I would definitely be in attendance.

My purpose in this message is to expose the spiritual reason behind our nation’s decline and to declare the only way to see God’s blessing return.  

If you are wondering whether I say these things from the pulpit, I can guarantee you 100% that, in the fear of God,  I most certainly do –  and I hope in publishing this that it may embolden other ministers to speak up as well.
