While it appears to us that everything about our way of life is falling apart, as far as God’s unfolding drama of redemption, everything is falling into place, just as God ordained it to be at the end of this age. Therefore, our hope is not for the return of our American way of life, but rather in the soon return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Dietrich Bonhoeffer once said, “He who fears the face of God does not fear the face of man. He who fears the face of man does not fear the face of God.”

 

While I can sympathize with unbelievers who have no faith in God and no hope for the future, and therefore they are living in fear over the things that are happening in the world, I can’t understand why so many who claim to be believers are exhibiting the same anxiety.  In 1 John 4:18, the Apostle said, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” 

 

 Sadly, like the proverbial frog in the kettle, even many who claim to be Christians, are simply adjusting their comfort zones to the rising heat of the antichrist culture, acquiescing to the government’s every whim. However, truly devoted disciples of Christ are able to discern the times, and they know how they should respond.
