Stephen has a B.Sc. with honours, 1978 and a Ph.D. (1981) from the University of Western Australia, Dr Grocott has spent over 40 years in research and development, processing technology development, commissioning, operations technical support, environment, intellectual property and mergers & acquisitions/due diligence functions in the international minerals processing industry for many international mineral processing companies.

His research area of interest was the organometallic chemistry of optically active metal complexes. He is a Fellow of The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration, a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and a Fellow of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute from which he received the 2011 RK Murphy Award in Industrial Chemistry. He is also an Adjunct Professor at a large Australian University and has supervised many PhD students. He has published ~50 papers and holds 10 patents in these fields.

He is married to Dianne (who is a psychiatrist), and has been blessed with three wonderful children (Jeremy, Rebekah and Patrick). After many years as a passive evolutionist, he was stunned by the logic, completeness and overwhelming mass of scientific evidence in support of Special Creation. Stephen is also a dynamic public speaker on this topic.
